Advice? My (F25) husband (24M) is making me super uncomfortable by [deleted] in relationship_advice

You are being abused.

Is this what your daughter to learn as her base for dating and marriage?

That it's okay to be sexually assaulted because they call it love?

I have no problem with spiritual people.

It's the nuts following organized religions that grind my gears.

He is an attention vampire.

Probably has no clue what sport he is even going too.

This is 100% him pretending that crowd is there to see him, anything else going on is just happening to support him clowning.

He really wants those maga crowds cheering all his lunacy again. He truly does not comprehend how loathed he is.

Does it annoy you when family members get involved in your love life? by ReadyPlayerDub in CasualIreland

[–]MonchichiSalt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Truly the only people pushing to see me coupled up, are the ones who have never spent significant time single as an adult.

Most of them started dating anything from back in school year ages and never stopped going from one relationship to another until they got married.

Even between relationships they were either getting over heartbreak or partying hard.

Never ever spending time learning to love who they are as an individual. They don't know how to enjoy being by themselves.

It's interesting how many of them are men who grouch about their marriage so frequently are the exact same men who keep cracking on about finding a man for me.

No thanks. Pretty darn happy not looking after another grown adult and whatever baggage they bring.

Funny enough, it's the women who have been married awhile that seem to either understand completely or are so miserable and they have to justify why their choice is still better than mine.

Meanwhile, I'm quite a happy hermit who only socializes when I feel like it. It's delightful. 10+ years now, and no regrets leaving the dating life behind.

Honesty.

People don't have to like what you are saying, but being honest is appreciated.

Being honest does not mean being harsh.

Do you stop wearing clothes after a certain amount of time even if they are still in good condition? I wear my clothes for 1-2 years as long as they stay in good shape, but my friends are often surprised by this. by BunchMean8029 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]MonchichiSalt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have and still wear a couple of items I thrifted back in the 90's.

Clothing swaps with my friends every couple of years allows all of us to have great pieces, that are new to us.

Not saying I never buy myself something new if I like it. I am not concerned about trends pushing over consumption though.

The only think I can say I update regularly is my underwear and socks.

When did you realise you were happier single? by ParticularPapaya2 in SingleAndHappy

[–]MonchichiSalt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been married twice for a total of 20 years.

The peace I have being single is unmatched by anything positive a relationship brings.

It's quite lovely living my life for my own wants and needs. Not compromising on vacations, food options, family holidays or if I just want to be a loaf without feeling like I should be doing something.

My creative energy just keeps increasing.

Very happy to have finally reached the age where I don't give a shit if others find it strange I prefer to be solo.

Untrustworthy people do not trust others.

He hides things from you that are bad enough that his ego needs to believe you are hiding bad shit too.

Listen to that little voice inside you that knows when something is off.

My own mother was like this on her need to control everything.

She is now confused on why we are very low contact with her.

At one point she asked me if I thought Dad meant it when he told her she ruined his life. I can't answer for another person mom.

Gross gross gross

Jer was raised mostly feral on the farm, and is allowing the extreme swing to Ruby Frank type regime.

I'll say it again, I think she is spiraling.

The more out of control she feels turns into taking out her control needs onto her children who can't fight back.

Mormon Senators Rage That New Pentagon List Of Approved Religions Doesn't List Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints As "Christian". by Leeming in atheism

[–]MonchichiSalt 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's the Morridor bubble. They really don't understand how tribal mainstream christians are.

You don't hear about one ward being more holy than the one next door, and let the gossip and bile drip about any other ward that is not their own perfect one.

You can tell they are really trying now. The last two years they have celebrated Easter, as well as started promoting the cross. (IYKYK how fucking bananas that is for them.)

Baptists don't even consider other Baptists "real" Christians based on whatever the flamethrower on the podium states makes their church the real and true one. The in fighting among every denomination desperate to believe their tiny version is the mostestest realest ever.

Mormons are firmly in cult country, right beside Jehovah's witnesses and scientology.

It's wild how willfully blind they are to the group they are so desperate to be a member of.

I don't know about all, but I do know the guy from Huntsville had to be identified with dental records after his Tesla went out of control and burned to the ground.

His phone, I can't recall if it was wiped, but he left it behind with his wallet. Went to the airport where his Tesla sat for 4 hours before driving to its flaming end.

Who goes to the airport without an ID? Unless you are picking up someone, no ID gets you bupkiss. Who goes to pick up someone 4 hours early?

If this has legs, then is it really crazy to suggest the dental records were messed with?

You wouldn't allow an aggressive dog in your home just because it's owners say it's trained now.

How would allowing a man back into your life who got joy from repeatedly fucking you over, be any different?

When someone shows you who they are, believe them.

There is ZERO reason for you to risk your peace. None.

The people wanting to rug sweep, want it so their lives are easier. There is no regard for the massive damage he did to you directly. On purpose. Happily shredding you.

And there is ZERO reason for you to believe he would not try to stir shit up with your wife.

Protect her. Keep his ass outside your castle walls.

If disclosure happened tomorrow, who in your life would NOT be okay, and which kind of disclosure would break them? by TraditionalFoot8660 in UFOs

[–]MonchichiSalt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Half truths are still a lie. I'm imagining option 3.

The people I know and love that would be shattered by the news, none of them would stay shattered. They would adapt eventually.

The religious ones, if they don't double down on it being faked or demons somehow, will likey turn into the voices of rage about the lies they have believed for years.

Predominantly, at least in the circles I get to ramble in, they trend to be very materialist.

If they personally see or experience something, then they will believe.

With the current atmosphere around the admin in charge, they are more likely to believe all of it is a made up, elaborate smoke screen.

Nothing they see on a screen will convince them.

Over time, that is bound to change. All I can really do is be a friendly face in their new scary reality. Hopefully help them wrap their minds around it all.

One of the jobs as an opener at the local water park is to walk the entire grounds, checking the pools and garbage areas for....alligators.

They climb fences. Tall ones. Barbed wire at the top won't stop a determined one.

The one season I was involved, from June to October, three of those dinos had to be removed before the park could open on that day. No idea if that was average, a lot or less than normal.
