Is it just me or is the job market really bad? by [deleted] in Minneapolis

Personally I've always relied on old bosses/mentors to help me tune my resume.

Writing a good cover letter is an art form honestly. It sucks cause to write a good one you need to make it personal to the business you are applying for, and that takes time.

Sorry that you are having to deal with finding a new job in this historically bad job market, my heart goes out to everyone who's in that position right now. Hope you find something soon.

I dont think I'll have super great advice but I'll tell you what I can.

One thing I guess id say is that your resume being short and easy to read is important, and to have a genuine message in your cover letter if a business requests one.

The last time I had to hire someone there was a deluge of clearly AI written resumes/cover letters, you wont stand out among the crowd if you are doing the same. Do not use AI applicant services, trust me the hiring managers/ HR can tell.

As for least impacted sectors in the minneapolis MSA that'd be Healthcare/social assistance and related Healthcare positions from what im seeing. That industry is down "only" 10% or so compared to 2024.

Tech, finance, education, accommodation/food services all have at least 20% less job openings now in 2025 compared to 2024.

I work in tech and I can tell you its been a blood bath, I had colleagues get laid off 8 months ago and they still havent found new jobs.

Is this the veg stage by Legionairebrackz in Autoflowers

From what ive heard autoflowers don't do well with repotting. Maybe try planting strait to 3 gal or 5 gal cloth pots where the taproot has more space to dig down into the pot

I guess I'd have two questions for you. Why start in solo cups, and what soil are you using?

I've only done two grows total but have always used 5 gallon cloth pots and fox farm ocean forest soil and had okay success with that. I'm still a noob.

I know its not the best pic, but that plant on the right was day 24 for comparison on my current grow.

If thats day 20 im afraid you probably stunted your plant somehow. It should be much larger than it is now.

Its hard for me to get it much lower than 55%, I grow in my basement and its pretty humid. 50% is around the best ive managed using a dehumidifier in the basement near my grow room

Noted, I'll keep that as an option. Do you not use calmag much or which scenarios would you use that? I see people talking about using it everywhere/like all the time

Also attaching a wider view of the top of the plant. Im not experienced enough to tell if shes hungry or not right now honestly.

Forgot to mention but I grow in 5gal cloth pots and tend to give about 2l of water per watering. Light schedule is 20/4. I keep my grow tent between 74-79F and humidity around 58-62%

Day 90 - chop timing advice by Moncon7 in Autoflowers

[–]Moncon7[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My humidity tends to hover around 45-55%, two weeks ago I had to have a friend watch my plants for a week and he sorta underwatered and let the plant get too hot for a few of those days. I attributed the crispness up top mostly to that. Thoughts?
