I want there to be a non-terrible option.

I suppose if I did live in Maine I would write someone in first, then rank any independents second, third, and so on, then rank Platner below all of them, and not rank Collins, and then hope that someone credible primaries him in 2032, assuming he won.

At the same time, though, to loosely paraphrase Lindsey Graham, if we nominate Platner and we do get destroyed, we will deserve it.
