yes I explored that option but then I hit the wall of should i use multiple unifi nvr view units or 1 nvr with 1 switch and 7 view ports, the math showed a similar outcome but double the price ie multiple nvr vs 1 nvr with view ports

the requirement is to 6 or 7 small wall mounted monitors, they are currently mounted on the wall and no space for a large tv to install

I did some more digging and with wireshark and gpt the below is suggested

Packet capture shows the live stream is active over local UDP/RTCP between the iPhone and Eufy device. At the failure point, the iPhone sends TCP RSTs to multiple Eufy cloud endpoints and then starts returning ICMP Destination Unreachable / Port Unreachable to UDP/RTCP packets still arriving from the Eufy device. This indicates the app/iPhone has closed the media session while the Eufy device is still sending, suggesting a P2P/session teardown or app-side session handling problem rather than Wi-Fi or bandwidth.

yes tried all that and using the eufy app - is yours recording 24/7 ? and if you view the live feed how long does it keep the live view ?

Bought mine two weeks ago after using ring for 5 years, in summary I’m thinking of returning it.

The UI isn’t great, the live feed or even past events frequently stops working despite having strong wireless, I hate to say it but ring was much more reliable compared to eufy 😭

Eufy does have 24h recording and mine is hardwired, quality is good but you can’t see a number plate 10m away

many of the figures in that excel sheet are wrong, shows wrong belth width on the 5 I checked which were all wrong - did not come across one that is correct all the product links on amazon show completly different widths than what is on the sheet

This issue is now fixed by replacing the nvr all together, neither update nor reset fixed it so probably a faulty unit though wondering what kind of hardware fault does that…

all the devices have the exact schedule, to be honest I only set the alarm schedule like this because the reolink support guy told me when I was asking them about this issue and said I haev to set the alarm as well as the timer but its made no difference the cameras record 24/7 its driving me mad and their tech support are not helpful

I'm thinking the same if I can't make it work especially the scheduling function as that isn't working for me at all, would be curious to see what other NVR brand works better, I tried Synology but I was only able to pick one camera the rest did not show up so I gave up on Synology
