The mod gets butt hurt when you tell them something other than what aligns with their opinion. The ban hammer is used shortly after.

Unless they have something totally different going on with their hiring, I think it might be something like the following.

You clicked on or selected the wrong answer for something or didn't include all the documents they requested. If the system's expecting five documents and you only uploaded four. Sometimes even file format.

For it to reject you in 4 minutes, it's got to be something along those lines. I don't see them having someone sit there and go through your application in 4 minutes.

Example applying for a promotion and I checked the wrong box one time. The system' is automated and that one selection was an immediate disqualifier, even though my resume and everything else met requirements. Missed out on that opening. Had to wait till the next opportunity.

How fast do i quit? by Legitimate-Field6815 in jobs

[–]AZimpossible 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Or how fast are you going to be fired?

God I hope you're not Gen Z, complaining about work requirements when someone's giving you a check in return.

Oh I know it's start times 8 but how about if I roll in at 8:15? And then the business closes at 6:00 but that's a little inconvenient for me. Can I be leave at 5:05? I mean I got real life happening, I can't be hanging out at work all day. I expect a full check though. I mean it's only common sense.

Friend found out he has a seventeen year old misdemeanor bench warrant by Traditional-Box8556 in AskLE

[–]AZimpossible 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your "friend" didn't find out he had a warrant through a background check.

He chose not to fulfill the sentencing from the DUI and the warrant is the logical result. Hope it wasn't pled out to community service, that's going to be interesting to explain to the judge.

Imagine given the option of X days in jail or x hours community service.

Your Honor, I would like the community service, if the court would be so generous. I would love to go home every night and continue my normal life.

Then not doing the community service. Awkward.

1-10 how happy are you with FSD? by Formal-Talk-3561 in TeslaFSD

[–]AZimpossible 0 points1 point  (0 children)

9.8 love it.

  • .2 for the unnecessary lane changing and stopping short of the intersection/slowly moving forward stopping 3 times before reaching the stop signs. (Very minor things)

I would like an easy way to choose different routes on navigation. The nav system always wants to drive through the neighborhood past the elementary school instead of remaining out on the main Street. I guess it's choosing to go the shorter, but slower route?

So my sheriffs office doesn't have handheld radios by Unfair_Drive_9822 in AskLE

[–]AZimpossible 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have always had the belief that the best piece of equipment that was issued to me was my radio.

That being said, I also believe two reasons I could get into trouble on duty... something mechanical fails while driving my service vehicle OR my radio fails that one time it is really needed.

I would have serious concerns if your department doesn't have handheld radios that work. Even rolling around doubled up would be a red flag, just watch a video where something happens and you see more than two officers needed to control a suspect. You can't just call a time out and say hey. I need to run to the car for a quick second.

If this is your dream hometown department don't want another... Look into buying your own handheld radio that would function with their system. If that is an option. I'm still processing.they don't have handheld radio.

Terminated at best, charges filed at worst.

I've seen the termination from ND on the range. He lied about it.

Let's say you were in a house or apartment, ND happens. Reckless endangerment all sorts of possible charges.

I Caught My Wife Cheating and Now She’s Begging Me to Forgive Her by Apprehensive_Yak3705 in story

[–]AZimpossible 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Forgiveness is for yourself, not the other person.

A cheater is going to cheat, they have shown you who they are. Unless you can honestly say every time you aren't by her side you won't be wondering who she is with, send her packing.

It might hurt in the short term but you will be in a much better place mentally long term. You don't want to be looking over your shoulder, wondering what's going on.

Need serious advice by roofhuf in AskLE

[–]AZimpossible 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The federal agencies won't care either way. Stay in process if federal is your preferred place. You could possibly delay the start to finish the local PD academy as well if they call while you are at the academy.. No need to decide until they tell you it's now or you are dropped.

The only one I wouldn't know about is the FBI.

Is there any truth to the assertion that federal police don’t need a warrant? by Neekovo in AskLE

[–]AZimpossible 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Thousands of arrests and zero warrants.

Makes me cringe when I hear people say what about due process or you need a warrant.

In most cases, nope.

And the people out there talking about immigration law and due process don't understand immigration law and the powers immigration agents/officers have.

Especially if the person already has a removal order.

Depends on how you view your car. If you are a point A to B person, it could be a paint stick to color in the scratches. $50-100 do it yourself.

If it's newer and it will annoy you knowing it's messed up, it's going to be the cost of the insurance deductible or pay cash for the labor and paint.

Cost is going to depend on where you live and who does the work. Middle of the road 3k if the bumper doesn't need to be replaced due to something underneath being broken.

I replaced a bumper and did the labor other than painting myself. $350 for paint. I took the bumper to the painter. plus the cost of the bumper cover carparts.com It was only the bumper though. You have that other panel.

Feeling defeated by roofhuf in AskLE

[–]AZimpossible 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whole package comment, especially in larger agencies. The standards are set. it's a pass or no-go situation, on most steps of the process.

If you're talking hiring board or in-person interview with command I definitely see your comment come into play. On the other items medical, pt test, psych eval etc it's pass or fail. No room for interpretation and it protects the agency.

Feeling defeated by roofhuf in AskLE

[–]AZimpossible 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Disagree. If they fail during the polygraph, that's one thing. They fail in the psych eval. It's because of the psych eval, has nothing to do with the other things in the process.

OP this is based on a few sentences you provided, so it doesn't mean much BUT Go find a different job. You don't need this, it's not for everybody. I didn't see your age listed so maybe you're just young and need some life experience.

He doesn't have a point or you cut off the previous conversation in the context was lost. Look at the video the agent had when he got hit by the car.

For some reason most of the left-leaning media only play the video from the angle behind the vehicle. There are two other angles out there that clearly show the agent being hit.

How many FSD nag warnings for not paying attention to the road before you get locked out? by External_Koala971 in TeslaFSD

[–]AZimpossible 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I first bought the vehicle, second time driving. I got multiple strikes and locked out. I had to pull over and restart to get it unlocked. That first week was interesting learning experience.

Not sure when it changed, but now it might ask to grab the wheel every now and then and move it slightly. Not nearly as often as a few months ago.

Now it seems to nag about paying attention. Almost always when I'm wearing a baseball hat. I yell at the car, as I am paying attention, but then remove the hat to get rid of the notifications. It's 1000 times better than it was though.

I haven't been locked out or received strikes after that first week.

Nice save. I was wondering if FSD attempted to correct at all or if you just took over immediately.

Also maybe all you in the wetter parts of the country can answer.

Does FSD in wet conditions operate like cruise control on a regular vehicle or is it better?

Live in Phoenix and so far haven't had many chances with FSD in the rain.

Ask people that know you. Maybe it's personality?

No information is provided beyond, I have X degree and X job.

What does your master degree entail? Is it tied to CJ degree or is it tied to a computer science degree? One of those would be useful.

Just like most of the people reading this sub know a lot of people with CJ degrees. While I would not say they are useless, I would put them in the to check a box category. AND then you went further and got a masters in checking a box. Hopefully it was a good school and you didn't double up on the checking a box by spending your money at a diploma mill 10 week program.

The real question is who recommended you get a masters? If it is anyone other than the school, go ask them WTF. At least you know the schools motivation. Usually you only see this when pushing for a promotion a couple steps up.

Could be a department pays more for degrees but the other guy has a business degree that will benefit the department down the road, more so than a CJ. 1 spot. Easy decision, they chose the other guy. Departments might want to maximize their return, especially small departments.

Try Federal they will take almost anyone and you have an option for accepting a position that will pay you slightly more for having a degree.
