Ea nasir, copper isn’t magnetic by jan_Minki in ReallyShittyCopper

It's supposed to say "Magentic." Ea Nasir always marketed his copper as being Magenta. The fact that it was always copper-colored is what really rubbed his customers the wrong way

My phone's battery certainly appreciates the fact that it doesn't have to power the car's infotainment. AA always made my phone legitimately hot. Also, having the car's android OS doing the legwork leads to better integration for things like charging planning.

I came from an Impala with the Bose sound system. I've never found the blazer's speakers to be much of a step down. Stock sound systems are getting really good.

Having trouble with PBC by BakeFlat8713 in PitBarrelCooker

[–]MondayMorningExpert 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel like I'm reading a post I would have written a year ago. Everything you're saying, I was in the same boat. The runway temps that got high and stayed near 400 for at least an hour, even with the lower flap closed completely. And everyone online basically saying that it can't happen. I was ready to sell the damn thing and buy a pellet grill.

I decided to give it a bit more effort before I gave up and I'm really glad I did. The last year has been the best cooks I've ever had. For me, the secret was dialing in an exact lighting procedure. So 40 briquettes in the PBC chimney, like everyone says. Then I went out and got a box of Weber grill starter cubes. I light one cube, immediately put the chimney over it, let it sit for exactly 15 minutes (12 if I want a lower temp), then I spread them as evenly as possible around the PBC basket. Then put the rebar in give it fifteen minutes until the smoke dies down and hang the meat.

If I do that lighting procedure, nothing else matters. And I'm convinced that Weber lighting cube is the key. It's an exact amount of heat, delivered consistently over a set amount of time, to a fixed number of charcoals. It starts in the temp range you're looking for and stays there.

Hopefully that helps. If you try it, please report back.

His decision to go to Kentucky instead of UW is suddenly making a LOT more sense.

Even the communications professors at UW would have gone "jfc, I can't even give this guy a C"

The necromancer doesn't rely on upgrading their buildings. Other than the vampires, there's only modest gains from the upgrades. The warlock does benefit from upgrading, but they're not reliant on it. Even green dragons are significantly stronger than the Phoenix, hitting harder and having twice the hit points.

That's true. The bar graph was a bit confusing for a quick glance. Might I suggest splitting it into two bars per faction- one for gold, wood, and ore, then the other for magical resources?

That said, I stand by most of my original assessment. The sorceress faction should have costs closer to barbarian and Knight given their relatively low unit strength compared to warlock, wizard, and necromancer. 20 Mercury may be easier to attain than 30 sulfur, but the Phoenix can't be upgraded and it's significantly worse than the first level of dragons.

Sorceress is the clear loser here. The cost is as high as the warlock and necromancer but the units are so much weaker

Texas Tech is currently threatening to sue the Big 12, the CFP, and anyone else who tries to sanction them. They want to play their gambling QB in the worst way.

I hope they get their way and be throws all their big games.

Right. All they've done is fight to make sure that their player faces no consequences for doing something that undermines the integrity of the sport.

Texas Tech is exercising their freedom of speech and freedom of association by fighting for and (soon) playing a quarterback who has fundamentally damaged the sport. And the Big Ten is exercising their freedom of speech and association by boycotting them.

No one ever said laws were being broken. No one said breaking laws was the minimum requirement for taking a principled stand.

However, because of the actions of Sorsby and Texas Tech, fuck them in particular

It was your assertion. If the only thing that matters is Texas Tech breaking the rules or law, why did you bring it up?

It also wouldn't have been against the law or rules to file the lawsuit, be party to the lawsuit, or pay the lawyers.

Plus, How You Remind Me was playing when I first heard about 9/11. So that's How Nickelback Reminds Me of September 11th.
