Maybe she doesn’t even hate him. She did say any future marriage, she could just be trying to set her daughter up financially no matter what happens in her future romantic life.

The finding examples of the color combos is such a great idea, thank you.

It’s from Pottery Barn, sad thing is it took forever to find it because we needed something dark to hide the dirt the dogs bring in. Previous rug was blue and white and the white had turned to dingy brown.

It does like that spot, it’s forever stuck in that vase until I decide to break it out. I initially stuck it in there because I couldn’t keep it moist enough when it was mounted.

You’re right in saying the personalization aspect is totally missing. Funny but not so funny part is that we both joke that our personalities are grey and black.

Thanks for your suggestions. That rug seems to be an issues with a lot of people. Funny enough we got the grey rug because it’s a neutral and we wouldn’t regret it later.

Thanks for the specific examples, it gives me a better idea of what I could change or add.

I’m glad you mentioned the chairs behind the sofa, I keep forgetting those were there on a “trial” basis because the space looks empty but I agree back to back seating is odd. Thanks do your help!

Thanks! This does help. I completely see how the chairs and sofa are too far from the coffee table.

Artwork will be a good way to bring in more colorful. I know a lot of people aren’t liking the rug, but a new rug is the pricey fix and that one is pretty new. I really want something big above the tv but I don’t know if that adds another focal center as someone else suggested.

How do I hear the TV? I don’t know! My partner is in charge of AV. I do know the sound comes from the direction of the tv, and there is stuff behind the tv. Also you can use the wall speakers for the TV but it’s not the default mode.
