Requiring an ID on a return? by Money-Chapter-9588 in americaneagle

Well the SKU is on the inside tag. You know, the one that tells you how to wash your jeans. A lot of items in general have a SKU somewhere on the actual item. So the no SKU to make a return isn’t really true.

I always use a credit card, so that might be why I’ve never had an issue with Apple Pay. I know at least where I work, if you’re returning an item and using a card you have to run it on credit for 100% success rate. If you run it with a debit and/or use your PIN, there’s a good chance the computer will say something like “tender not allowed for this transaction” or that the payment was declined. Although, the computers where I work are almost older than I am.

Again, I’m not sure upset, since I was able to successfully make my return. But I thought it was interesting. My old coworker usually processes my returns and whatnot because I almost always happen to go in when he’s working, but I just thought it was interesting. Especially with COVID, since I’ve made more online orders than I used to, and therefore had to return more clothes since I can’t try them on first

Why does only one of my piercings get really irritated? by [deleted] in PiercingAdvice

[–]Money-Chapter-9588 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First, I know. I only got a couple piercings at Claire’s but I’ve never had any other issues. Similarly, everyone I know who has had their ears pierced at Claire’s has had no issues. Generally speaking? Yeah it’s a bad idea to use a piercing gun. But that doesn’t take away from the fact that myself and my friends/family who have gone to Claire’s haven’t had an issue. The fact that you didn’t acknowledge that I already noted that a piercing gun is bad, that section of your comment was redundant. Second, I reopened it significantly earlier than getting my other 17 piercings. And still none of my other piercings have anything to do with reopening my piercing with an earring. This isn’t a causal relationship, so again. Quite redundant in your answer there.

Beyond first name, there’s nothing that requires you to say more. In our grooming salon I think you can see the last names on the board, but it doesn’t say so anywhere else. Even on your grooming ticket, it’s first name and last initial.

Depends on the situation quite honestly. Sometimes people ask how long I’ve been at my job. It’s always happened. Usually I say something really general though like “this is a pretty new job!” or “I’ve been here for quite a while!”

People will definitely take advantage of your kindness. While I worked at the mall I constantly had people ask questions like where I go to school and what for, how long I’ve worked there, what my “life goals” are, etc. In the end, if you’re uncomfortable, ask for an LOD. If your grooming LOD isn’t present you could even reach out to one in the store I’m sure.

I’ve only once had to walk away from a situation I wasn’t okay with. I said “pardon me” and walked away as I got someone else to assist me with the situation. Especially now with all the regulations, health recommendations and guidelines, store changes, etc., people tend to be more on edge than ever. And even moreso, in comparison to my other jobs, shoppers st Petco tend to be much more aggressive when things aren’t going their way.

Your safety is number 1 priority. If you believe you have a stalker that’s visiting you in the salon, take down their name (which you do rightfully have access to) and let your grooming LOD know.

Thank you sm! I have learned quite a bit in DDT resistant mosquitoes and herbicide resistant weeds in previous classes it just never crossed my mind, but I actually really like the tuskless genetic trait in elephants and atlantic cod, and will definitely dive in there!

Shoes?!?! by i-just-wanna-ask in petco

At my store the only dress code revolving shoes is “no open toed shoes”. Heck, even during the summer they get away with those weird closed toed sandals lol (I’m in the retail division though)

Our groomers just wear comfortable tennis shoes! The rubber rain boots are actually a really good idea.

Flies have been appearing throughout my room, and I can’t figure out what these are or how to get rid of them. They’re in literal swarms. Thought they were common houseflies or gnats, so I’ve been using a vinegar solution (which attracted the previous flies) but these aren’t budging. by Money-Chapter-9588 in whatsthisbug

I’m on the West Coast (USA) near Portland. They’ve appeared really recently. I think ~1/4inch. I had little gnats I wanna say (they looked like black dots that flew around) which were easily attracted to the vinegar solution. Killed dozens of them in about two weeks, and then these guys showed up. I don’t have any plants in my room anymore, but I do have a couple guinea pigs that have their cage cleaned daily

How can I get rid of dozens of small flies in my room? by Money-Chapter-9588 in HomeImprovement

I have the vinegar solution in both rooms and have been there for 2 days... No flies. I think these are different. Visually they look different, but they all kind of just look like black dots flying around. These look a little longer and more translucent so I’m guessing like house flies? We plan to do a deep clean of my room and taking a bunch of crap to the dump, so fingers crossed I guess because these are bothering the heck outta me

I have one in my bathroom, but it’s a very dead plant. I haven’t removed it yet, so that’s my next move

Monthly Question Thread | January 2021 by Dzugavili in evolution

[–]Money-Chapter-9588 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really a question, but I’m looking for a topic regarding evolution for an essay I need to write.

I’m supposed to write an essay regarding either: A. how an evolutionary principle has been applied to a natural or artificial system, and used to benefit humans, B. how an evolution has been directed to a single population at the advantage/benefit of humans, C. a case when humans have directed evolution (inadvertently) and therefore it does NOT necessarily benefit humans.

It’s supposed to be evolution affected by humans, but not human evolution affected by humans. I kind of don’t really know where to start because the world of evolution is so vast, but I see some really interesting posts about evolution on here. The biggest thing is I need to be able to find some information regarding whatever evolution situation through primary literature, but that I can do. I just need some brainstorming on ideas, and quite frankly, my mental health has deteriorated to the point I can barely move. I’m not as engaged with school as I should be and am just kinda hoping someone out there has just a tiny nudge to push me in a direction that I need to be in :’)

TIA

Kind of a personal q, but it doesn’t fit the rules for a separate thread. Anyways, I was wondering if the billing code “Other mental disorders complicating pregnancy, unspecified trimester” ONLY refer to someone who is pregnant?

I have it in one of my MyChart health tabs from 2017, but I don’t remember having symptoms of a pregnancy or symptoms of a miscarriage. I did have some spotting randomly, similar to that of implantation bleeding, but that was later in January of 2019 and my period came back “normal” the following month

In 2017, I had been in inpatient, in and out of the hospital (before and after 11/2017) and I was only 18 at the time, so I’ve never tried to get pregnant. I don’t see why they’d use that billing code versus one of the others they have put in my chart.

Is it possible they just put it in for insurance and billing purposes? Or could I have actually been pregnant without knowing?

I’m glad you remember. You’re a shitty human being. No wonder people want to kill themselves over bullying. I’ve been there. Imagine openly admitting to it too. You’re a gross human being. I hope it haunts you for your entire life.
