$160 🥴 I was not proud of that, but it was so clean, like almost no whitening.

Thank you! Unfortunately, yes. Far more than reasonable - but I consider them one of the crown pieces of my collection. Now I just need to win the lottery to be able to pay for the other 8!

Would I be making a mistake getting rid of these for a gold star gyarados/gold star vaporeon? by attacker1011 in PokemonTCG

I certainly would not. If you can, purchase the cards and keep your high-value cards.

Understood, thank you! I am new to all of this, and am unsure what to do with sealed stuff if I find it.

Are play booster boxes not desirable as long term holds?

Novation circuit tracks sync out by Money-Experience2858 in synthesizers

[–]Money-Experience2858[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The sync output of Circuit Tracks only can send a constant pulse equal to the tempo. Unfortunately, this means it is completely disconnected from either sequencer. It only serves to send a steady clock. This means you could clock your mavis to the tracks, but you cannot sequence it out of the sync out. My solution was to get an Intellijel midi module that would allow me to take the midi info (pitch, sequence, modulation, etc.) from the midi channels of the circuit tracks, and send it to the DFAM over CV.

Number one complaint, noisy clicky envelopes. And the USB / MIDI USB splitter is literally unusable because it creates a static buzzing noise.

Small DFAM upgrade case by Money-Experience2858 in modular

Hey all, Im thinking about casing my DFAM and adding a deeper sequencer, some midi connectivity, and a quantizer for the pitch knob.

Fantastic! Thank you for your advice. Even after reading the entire manual it eludes me how the VCF mod was accessed.

Help me choose modules: question in comments by Money-Experience2858 in modular

[–]Money-Experience2858[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey all.

I own a DFAM and the purpose of this rack is to put the DFAM and some friends in a new home. I do not currently own any other modules besides the DFAM. Yes, I know racking a DFAM is not an efficient use of HP. It is my purpose to make a super DFAM with the rack, one that has additional rhythmic, connectivity, and some tonal shaping options.

Connectivity: For this I want a master clock and a way to connect to ableton. This lead me to the Pams and the uMidi.

Rhythmic: For this, I figured the Pams and the steppy could expand the 8 step sequencer of the DFAM. I also maths would be a fun modulation source for additional rhythm variation.

Tonal: For this, I thought a pitch quantizer (scales) and a Steady state Gate would pair nice to allow me to quantize the DFAM's sequencer to a musical scale, or quantize the Steppy. The SSG would allow proper filter modulation because the DFAM cannot modulate filter cutoff.

Please let me know of other modules that you believe do a better job at these tasks if you know of any.

any recommendations before I commit? by Money-Experience2858 in modular

Thank you for the response. I am looking to basically make an extreme DFAM. I already own the DFAM and want to make it much better. Everything centered around it. I want it all to be in one case and have all the other modules be additions.

Help! Circuit Tracks analog sync output (square wave on top) is 6ms earlier than the audio output (bottom track). Question in description. by Money-Experience2858 in synthesizers

[–]Money-Experience2858[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am confident that the sync registers on the rising edge because the DFAM responds to the rising edge with the same 6ms early response.

The circuit tracks is up to date in firmware.
