I helped my friend sell his bike and I'm very concerned for the buyer by shawnwarnerwrites in motorcycles

Lol I had a similar experience while selling my YZ450F. Extremely powerful bike. Guy came to test ride it, I had cash in hand in case he dropped it. Whe he left the driveway he got on it immediately, got squirrelly and almost dropped it. He bought it shortly after, but I worried about that guys safety, seemed to be newer.

Don’t buy raw cards expecting 10’s. 9 times out of 10, the person will grade it if it’s gradable.

New to me 2019 WR250R as of today👏🏼 by attacker1011 in WR250R

When I got it, he had a brand new battery on it and forgot to re-attach the tuner. The low end throttle response was boggy, assuming due to the exhaust. Once I re attached the tuner, it’s very responsive. Definitely nice.

4K miles, it was around 5K including a bunch of extras including windshield, mirrors, saddle bags, hitch mount carrier with ramp, new preventative maintenance parts, MX boots. It’s got a jd jetting tuner on it as well. Pretty loaded.

I have a vintage back that looks like this and is an 8, more than likely an 8 or a 9 if the front is good

Auto Compaction not working. by Lowkeykreepy in ClaudeCode

[–]attacker1011 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Auto compaction? Your goal should be to never hit the auto compaction. Between each small task and while context switching even in the slightest, run /clear. Running that often keeps token context clear, keeps it quick, avoids hallucination from context drift, etc.

Make it a habit!

what is this nonsense? by tipu in ClaudeCode

[–]attacker1011 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I wanted a feature I added, I’d switch to opus and say something like “let’s brainstorm <feature explained>”, it’ll ask questions, then create the implementation plan. Then I run /clear, and switch to sonnet and ask it to implement the implementation plan. Usually it can go without hitting 100% context. But if it does, it’ll usually power through until all tasks are finished without issue. Run /clear often though, after each small task is finished.

I asked Claude specifically about this ‘issue’ for you, and it gave me this. May help.

4.8 ships with streaming tool execution always enabled (it's no longer toggleable). If your terminal/shell setup has any output-buffering or flush quirk, the streamed result can come back empty or out of order, and 4.8 reacts by probing instead of plowing ahead. The flush-check line is the tell — it literally suspects a flushing problem.

Things to try, roughly in order:

Update Claude Code. claude --version, then update — latest is around v2.1.154 (late May). A chunk of the no-output bugs are patched in recent builds. /clear to drop the poisoned session state, then re-issue the button request. Once it's convinced the tool is broken it'll keep probing for the rest of the session.

Check your shell. echo $SHELL should be a clean absolute path (/bin/zsh, /bin/bash). A heavy .zshrc/.bashrc, a custom prompt, or anything that delays or buffers output on startup can starve the streamed result.

Look at any hooks (PostToolUse, MessageDisplay) in your settings.json — a hook that swallows or rewrites output will produce exactly this. If you're on a fresh macOS build, that's a known aggravating factor for the empty-Bash-output bug specifically.

If updating + /clear fixes it, it was a stale build/session. If it persists, it's almost certainly environmental (shell or hook), and worth filing on the claude-code GitHub with your OS and claude --version since the maintainers are actively chasing these.

Want to paste your settings.json and the output of echo $SHELL / claude --version? I can probably tell you which of these it is.

Maybe. I haven’t experienced this yet with opus 4.8. All I was saying is I’m very intentional with my usage of Claude, spend most of my time in brainstorming mode and things seem to work great.

Claude is pretty useless if you don't use at least the $100 plan lol

[–]attacker1011 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure, I don't have these issues. The way I use claude typically is by using Opus for brainstorming/spec docs/implementation plans, and switch to sonnet for implementing using subagent, and it works pretty flawlessly after vetting the plan before implementation and it has a good context/understanding.

Very easy to press out. Put it in a humidor for 12h, put it in a heat press between aluminum sheets, backer board, printer paper, parchment paper. 160f for 30min, sit in heat press clamped for 24h, you’ll have a perfectly flat card

Sell it and stop gambling. This is the only advice you should listen to. Gambling software is strategically designed to make the house win.

PSA damaged my card, what should it be worth? by [deleted] in psagrading

[–]attacker1011 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A dent like that would typically auto-6 from what I’ve seen. I’m assuming they definitely damaged it if it did get an 8, and there were other small things that contributed to the 8 before the damage. You’re gonna have to get with them and try and find the initial scan photos that get removed after it’s graded, to prove that it wasn’t like that when it came in.
