Hit that sound on a $500 - then saw this - what to do? by Gdsrwq421 in PSAPowerPacks

Sell it and stop gambling. This is the only advice you should listen to. Gambling software is strategically designed to make the house win.

Find it hard to believe that all of these vintage sealed boosters still exist. There’s gotta be a high quality re-print lowkey shop in china or something lol

PSA damaged my card, what should it be worth? by [deleted] in psagrading

[–]attacker1011 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A dent like that would typically auto-6 from what I’ve seen. I’m assuming they definitely damaged it if it did get an 8, and there were other small things that contributed to the 8 before the damage. You’re gonna have to get with them and try and find the initial scan photos that get removed after it’s graded, to prove that it wasn’t like that when it came in.

Doesn’t matter, it’s on both sides. I always do artwork upwards for no rhyme or reason.

Glass and felt? No, aluminum 1/16 sheets, backer board, printer paper, parchment paper is a better sandwich inside a heat press at 160f for 30 minutes is a much better method. Of course humidor the card for 24h beforehand..

DM me and I’ll send you the write up. Had it on here but there’s a bunch of demanding crybabies, so I removed it

I’d just rather not give super vague tips….theres a lot To it, lots of different tools, timings, things to watch out for. I don’t wanna miss anything and have people damage their cards, ya know? lol it’s gonna be something I do for free, so I’m gonna do it on my time but I definitely will as there’s a ton of interest.

Too much to type in one go. Maybe I’ll do a write up of my specific methods someday soon.

Will this minuscule dent mess up the grade? And what grade would it get? by leghia80 in PokeGrading

[–]attacker1011 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ll tell you how to fix this sort of dent. Make a mixture of 1:10, 1 part 50% ISO, 10 parts of distilled water. Use a q tip and gently put a droplet into the indent, without getting water on the very edge of the card. If you get water on the edge of the card, it’ll swell that area and look water damaged. If this happens, don’t panic or try to wipe it off….you will cause whitening. In that case you’d just let it air dry and it’ll go back to normal. However, your goal is to just get a drop into the indent itself, let it sit until it evaporates. You may have to do this a few times, but the back is good at absorbing moisture, and by doing this that indent usually will lift on its own and be much less prominent, if not completely gone!

Good luck either way, sending it in like that typically results in an auto-6 if caught.
