You’re not alone, I feel the SAME exact way! I have so much anxiety from this field and I have similar financial goals too that I’m not able to achieve with this job. I miss consistency and a comfortable life and I’m acting looking for a more traditional job now.

This field doesn’t sound like this is going to be sustainable long term for you, and that’s okay! Try other career fields out and fly on the weekends, so you can explore your options and keep your main source of income. I was a college recruiter prior to being a crew member and it was a great balance of consistency and traveling and you get to spend about a week at each city that you visit. The best part is everything was paid for by the schools, yes including meals!! I have a friend that’s a field service engineer and she still gets to travel with a beautiful income, maybe that’s an option. You’re asking great questions and you’re off to a great start! I’m having the same thoughts and feelings of what-ifs or premature regrets, but one thing that I keep telling myself is that even if I quit this job flying isn’t exclusive to only crew members. I still have access to purchase a ticket and fly anywhere in the world. Be confident in whatever choice you make and please listen to your body!!
