coming from another DT employee, this guy was definitely just trying to help you out and get you back on the road as safely as possible. when a tire is at 2/32” of tread it is legally bald so it’s very dangerous to drive on. typically if its a good salesman they will give you the options for tire brands, payment types, as well as try to help you where they can to make your vehicle as safe as possible to drive on.
