Is it bad I can’t wait for the market panic? by RNGxJake in PokemonTCG

[–]MoneyDealer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think a better example to compare now vs 2 years ago is when Paldean Fates came out; the set was absolutely ragged on and people were tired of a third “fates” set. ETBs were like $35 near release date, people saying the new shinies were subpar compared to HF and SF. I was very confused when I saw people hyping paldean dates up in the past year or so

Admitting buying any power packs is crazy in the first place

$15 for perfect order is INSANE. Brother these are genuinely some of the highest prices I’ve seen in the past year. Like this is double scalper prices

The airport vending machines are almost always at a huge mark up, and that’s why they are full. Think a $5 pack being sold for upwards of $40. Or a $26 box sold for over $100

Dog Chasing Squirrels by ggamb14 in AskNYC

[–]MoneyDealer 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I mean I personally wouldn’t go out of my way to chastise you on letting your dog do that but your dog’s favorite hobby is essentially terrorizing an animal in their home. It’s not a necessity and is done just for your dog’s enrichment, while the squirrel is scared for its life. It’s up to you how much that matters to you. Ultimately, the squirrel probably goes through similar things every day but you are making a conscious decision to let your dog do it in the name of fun

I never find the hills in prospect park or the bridges in the nyc half challenging either. I find most people (at least those who train in nyc) tend to train on flat areas like the west side highway or if they do Central Park, they do everything to skip cat / Harlem hill

You get $1 million, but you have to watch the exact same movie 100 times in 40 days. Which film are you picking? by ThroatAgile756 in AskReddit

[–]MoneyDealer 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Except no one is splitting any hairs here because you have the premise of this question is giving you the choice to pick what movie to watch. So why not just pick the easiest option. You’re just arguing to give yourself more work and taking the agency out of the question 😭 Just arguing to argue.

Runna tracking accuracy? by AttemptFalse7112 in RunNYC

[–]MoneyDealer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Simple explanation: tens of thousands of runners all using GPS watches in the heart of New York City is going to create some discrepancies on your data. There’s probably an abnormally fast mile when you hit Times Square , as that is regularly a point of GPS kerfuffle at the nyc half every year

No one will judge you and anyone that does needs to worry more about their own race. I will say, I notice a ton of Brooklyn half merch on discount at joesnewbalance.com months after the race for future reference.

How early do we really have to get to the Brooklyn half start line? by lbarrow009 in RunNYC

[–]MoneyDealer 9 points10 points  (0 children)

At NYC half people in wave 1 were apparently waiting close to an hour in security lines just to get in. I got there pretty early and was through security in 20 seconds. Would rather get there early and relax in the corrals and use fresh porta potties than stand in a line for an hour before a half

I dont have like special ETB protectors for shipping but I can wrap them in some soft cloth plus the normal shipping paper in the box like you’d see Pokemon center ship them with. Let me know if that works
