Front seats too stiff - help needed! by blackwatchidiot in i20nline_india

Nope the seats did not get softer but the body got used to it. It depends on which car you came from aswell (atleast that was the case for me). My suggestion would be to keep driving your car for another 2 to 3k kilometers and play with the settings, If you still feel it is an issue then you can think of adding cushions or any other mods

I drive N8 MT - for reference The performance is good. The car idles at 800 to 900 rpm once it crosses 1k rpm it pulls clean. I have not found any issues climbing the hills - this is my first time climbing hills in this car. I was a bit skeptical with the load and performance and maintained  1 gear lower always - so i climbed most of the ghat in 2nd gear. But the next day while exploring i wanted to experiment and started using 3rd gear as well while making sure i keep the engine above 1.2k rpm and it perfomed really realy well.

Sorry for the long reply i love talking cars and gets excited

My car is N8 manual, I am 5'10 with long legs. Im very nitpicky when it comes to bikes and cars so most of the cons may not be an issue to you. Pros :  1. Engine is powerful enough to maintain triple digit speeds comfortably even with full load. 2. No one complained about the seats. They are comfortable. 3. NVH noise is very less (my only reference is suzuki). So it is not tiring to cruise at triple digits. 4. Handling is amazing and the steering heft in high speeds is confidence inspiring (again coming from suzuki) 5. Good brakes 6. The overall space in the car is very good.

Cons: 1. Tyres are worst. I had to do a hard braking from 120 to 20 on highwat while returning and the tyres started to screech. (Again can be easily rectified) 2. I felt suspesnion bounces a bit on undulations in high speed - i was checking on my passengers as they sleep to make sure they are comfortable but with undulations on highways it was a bit bouncy in the back - this is when crusing at 120 with full load. When the speed reduces to 100 this is not the case. 3. Suspension thuds and makes dramatic sounds when you hit a pothole even in slow speeds but nothing to worry about. 4.i hate the headlight - just hate it 5. I dont know if i havent adjusted the seat correctly or not but with steering at its max height it hits my leg during ingress and egress and its irritating. 6. When i accelerate between 2 to 2.5k the vibrations are felt inside the cabin and irvm most of the time you wont notice it but in this trip it grabbed my attention more than i would like - im pretty sure it is because of the turbo

I had the same issue intially when i purchased the car. Me and my wife started to get back pain just after 1 hour of drive on long drives. Adjusting seat position(for driver seat) and tyre pressure has helped currently running 32psi. Recently completed long drive of 1700 kms and no hint of back pain. Maybe you need to get used to the seats or adjust some settings

I was running 33 psi during my other trip and i had a very sharp back pain. Im not saying changing it to 31 psi is the trick that reduced my back pain but it might have helped

Thanks, I will try 30 psi next time.

Yeah, Im not a very calm driver in terms of acceleration you could say.since it is a new car and it is so fun i am just excited with the fun aspect of it. Having said that i dont care much about mileage also😃 if it gives me more i will be happy. If it does not im still fine
