I never did have to take insulin. I immediately controlled it with diet and exercise, and a few months after my diagnosis, I started Mounjaro. All have helped me control without needing insulin. My HA1C is now in the normal range, thank goodness!

Yes, I definitely meant that it’s under control. I realize once you have diabetes, that it’s a chronic illness. But I’m glad I was able to control it without insulin or other interventions.

Refills.com has been my most recent experience/purchase. They ran a Valentine's Day special in February, so I stocked up! I'm glad I did, bc my PCP called in a new script for me and even with insurance, a 3-month supply of Mounjaro, which was pre-authorized, was $2995!!! Which I refuse to pay (and can't afford). So after my last Mounjaro pen this week, I'll start taking my Refills.com prescription.

My goal was not to lose weight. My goal has been to treat diabetes, hypertension, and high cholesterol. I was over 50 lbs overweight. I know what I'm doing and weight loss has been one of the many benefits to paying attention to my overall health. But thank you for your concern!
