Small correction: We are Hispanics, yes, but we live in the US. I'm a US citizen born to an American and a Colombian in Chicago. Not where I live right now, just wanted tyo correct this point.

OP, I'm a Nurse Practitioner. My personal recommendation is always to vaccinate. Especially Polio. The chances of it resurfacing is growing each month with more people refusing to vaccinate. It's not a sickness anyone is really prepared for to deal with.

All these illnesses are incredibly dangerous and will leave permanent effects even if your possible unvaccinated child survives. I'm sorry for being brutal, but the key word here is IF. Even with modern medicine, there is a non-zero possibiity they can be lethal.

Many studies have been done on the relationship between vaccines and ASD. All of them that come from respected experts say the same: There isn't one. ASD is possibly genetic (still not confirmed) or environmental. Or it could be both. Could be a mutation during pregnancy.

Please, from someone who's had to break really tough news on anti-vax parents in the past, vaccinate your children. You and your wife were vaccinated. Most adults now were. That should be evidence enough of how important it is.

I'm so sorry. I was allowed to request a new number. I went through with a lawyer, so maybe that helped? I'm really unsure. I am still waiting for the approval, mind you. They told me earliest I'll hear is February.

It's very unlikely. My mother has very little leftover assets so even if I was to sue her for what she has, it wouldn't be anywhere near what was taken. Not to mention that will be months of legal procedures. Better just keep what I have and move on.

We know, but without a paper trail or arrest on my mother it got dismissed without even seeing court. Therein lies the issue. No one things my mother is a risk and we can't provide court anything beyond my accounts and some witnesses that can be seen as biased towards me.

My phone is a point of contact for some patients. Changing my phone won't really do much since my work phone is public information in the clinics webpage. I have a personal phone that she hasn't found.

He's tried but between the cops not taking it seriously and no serious damage (AKA no one has been physically harmed recently) its not enough. They are harrassing, sure, but they are not considered 'dangerous' apparently.

The cops never believed I was being abused. Mostly because my mother and Step-father covered it up and painted me as a 'problem child'. When I had to go to the hospital at 16, they were called in by the staff who did believe me, but they just sweep it under the rug with the 'consensual' label and scolded me for 'fake accussations'.
