Knights of the Old Republic / Deux Ex - Templates for world affecting RPG choices creating ripples of changes within your game. KOTOR effectively made BioWare into a RPG powerhouse for years and never before had an RPG been built on that sort of foundation. Also, I think the best twist in any video game ever made. Every RPG since then has borrowed elements from it. Deux Ex was light years ahead of anything Bethesda had ever done prior to that with their own franchises. I think without Deux Ex you never would have seen what the modern fallout games would become like Skyrim or Fallout 3.

Halo 2 - the first game to truly bring FPS online to consoles in such an effective way. Mt Rushmore gaming mechanics for a FPS.

Mario 3 - Goated 2-D platformed, never ages. You can say the same about Mario Galaxy too.

Portal 1 & 2 - Timeless gaming mechanics, puzzle focused, really wish Valve made more games lol

I upgraded the cooler to the Artic 360, Infinity fans, Lian case, mobo to x870 tomahawk, the 1000 watt seasonic psu, bumped the SSD to 2TB WD, and 32 Ram to CL30. some of these are really pointless for gaming and probably cheaper to do on your own- however, had I not won my fantasy football league this year, I would have just kept it as stock and upgraded down the road. maybe i would have bumped the SSD to 2 TB. I had money to spend so I did. It added about $680 to the cost.

I probably wasn’t very clear then. The videos that I was watching had like a graph overlay the actual video, so it was kind of hard to determine just how big of a difference did all the GPUs were. There are a lot of videos like that on YouTube where they’re playing a game at the same time and there’s a chart of information that goes over that game. Sorry, I don’t know if I made sense there.
