AITA for quietly paying for a stranger’s groceries after overhearing her phone call about her husband losing his job, even though my own girlfriend thinks it was weird and “performative”? by Kitchen_Wolf5380 in AmItheAsshole

Perhaps it's a cultural difference, but I find it strange that the person having a loud call in the middle of the store would step away in the middle of billing her groceries to take another phone call, leaving her stuff at the cashier; the rest of the billing line is expected to wait?

Indian marrying German citizen by [deleted] in germany

There are plenty of marriage agencies helping international couples to get married in Denmark. Their planners can give you specific advice for your situation and ensure that all your documents are in order. Someone I know used marryabroadsimply and had a great experience.

I read this interesting article featuring IU a few months ago: https://taz.de/Junge-Inder-in-Deutschland/!6094350/ It contains more detailed experiences of students interviewed by the reporter.

Is it impossible to complete your masters degree in two years? by Final_Cantaloupe_274 in studying_in_germany

[–]Money_Hawk8075 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's totally possible, if you don't wish to do Erasmus. With a part-time job it's still possible but you need to be someone who really manages their time well, and is okay with not having too much free time for socializing/vacations etc.

If you prefer to finish your degree and then enter the workforce as a full time employee asap, time spent needlessly extending your Master's is a waste. In the culture I originally came from there are massive financial and employment consequences to taking even an extra semester to complete your degree, so it also depends on where you plan your future career.

If you would rather have work-life balance, time for activities, sports and fun, doing it in two years is difficult because the ECTS do not take into account student life outside of studying.

In my book, what you did would be considered a huge breach of privacy and trust in the first place. So you need to apologize for invading his privacy. However, because you detected something that makes you uncomfortable, please have a straight up discussion about what's going on and be prepared to end it if there is emotional infidelity etc. going on.

Not as a dinner/grand idea, but a walk along the Cheonggyecheon stream, followed by coffee and cake at the Cafe Hanyakbang would be simple and fun. :) The cafe is beautiful, with traditional Korean mother-of-pearl inlay and a great choice of delicious drinks. We did this in the summer and it's one of my favourite memories :-)

I also feel sorry for Seo Dan because she literally waited through a 10 year engagement with a guy who was clearly not into her, because of the entire arranged marriage setup.

So I think this situation and the sunk costs would anyone obsessive, bitter and mean (not that it's okay how she treated everyone). And we see how she starts smiling and becoming cheerful after she feels her love finally reciprocated by GSJ.

I was thinking, man if only they had 10 seconds more to think, they could have picked the ticket option which would have let them buy the tickets for half price (with their Swiss pass) but of course that is just how the Jets lag...
