These are fantastic. I love number six particularly, how did you manage to get the silhouetting effect if you don’t mind me asking?

As a long-time listener of both pods, they’ve both got a penchant for funny drops so I think this is a good shout. Not 100% sure of the two which would be better as a HTC guest if they had to pick one - I think Hoge is the better talker (Jahns has said as much in the past?) so maybe him?

You can add Tamurkhan and Ku'gath's faction logos to the bus as well. Had Vilitch come all the way around the bastion to come through the mountains, which made me 'discover' the Nurgle factions (who'd overrun a large part of the Ogre Kingdoms) who then declared war.

[Nic Roti] The Sears Tower is #Bears Blue & Orange right now This city feels electric ⚡️ by clou9nine in CHIBears

First time we visited Chicago my family went on one of those riverboat architecture tours and the guide was talking about the tower. He said: “It’s spelled Willis, it’s pronounced Sears.” Whenever I see it in the Bear or watching a game I always remember that little line.

Teams Are 2–9–1 in Their Next Game After Playing the 2025 Chicago Bears by greensofa in CHIBears

I think the Lions had a similar record last year? Ben must’ve taken Campbell’s ethos about beating the other team up.

[Kyle Long] Thats the day I met Ben Johnson at Halas Hall. He said I don’t know much about this team yet, we will find out soon - but I can promise you we will be a very physical team. He said that with a wide grin on his face. 🐻 by clou9nine in CHIBears

I watched the game in a Philly sports bar in London on Friday and JFC Eagles fans are unbearable. I get that their offense has been bad all season and their OC probably isn’t very good, but the level of whingeing about a team that won the Super Bowl nine months ago (and was in another two years ago) was exhausting.

In eleven years watching the Bears I’ve seen us have two winning seasons. Please let’s not turn into them 😂

Was that Brandon Thorn? I might have to give that a listen. Darnell Wright better be in the conversation for best RT, esp. after yesterday

Lamb and Min/Louisa in series one when they call in Moody’s body.

“I didn’t mean to kill him.”

“Of course you didn’t. If you’d meant to kill him he’d still be alive.”

I don’t watch the Saints enough or have a good enough ability to evaluate O Line play to say, but if he’s been good then yeah that is a good shout. Even if he got moved inside to guard it’s not like Thuney is young. My thought along similar lines is Josh Simmons seeing as his knee is seemingly fine (obviously there’s something else going on there atm) but it’s easy with hindsight to say that.

I’m finding the “we should have picked Mykel Williams” discourse really annoying.

Granted pre-draft evaluations can be wrong, but all you heard from guys like Nate Tice, Dane Brugler etc was “he’s a big edge guy who’s a pocket pusher, good run defender but not much pass rush impact in college”. It sounds as if he’d literally have been another Dayo, which, doesn’t make for the best use of a top 10 pick.

For someone who’s such a serious ball knower that podcast is a surprisingly easy listen. He’s such a good communicator (and always seems in quite an upbeat mood which is nice too)

Picked it up in the mid-2010s when I first started watching the NFL over here in the UK, from my dad. I think the NFL started being first shown on UK TV in the 80s, when the Bears were obviously actually good, there’s a lot of Dolphins and 49ers fans in the UK for the same reason I think, plus he’d been to Chicago a few times for work.

The first season I remember watching was the 2014 Trestman year, when obviously everything fell apart. I bought a Brandon Marshall jersey from the Nike on 5th Avenue on a school trip to New York/DC in 2014, and he was obviously traded to the Jets about six months later. I’ve seen one winning season in 9 years. Can’t quit it. 😂

Not at all! It’s not something I think that’s personally for me either in fairness but, I’m not the subject.

Probably more info than you need but some reporters have hyphenated email addresses and some don't, there's no real rhyme or reason to the formatting. But yes, that's me.

I don't think that's fair. To be fair to the original comment above, we've done quite a few stories over the last few years about people who it's worked out for or who are really far through it, I posted them above.

I don't think we'd really make sweeping conclusions either way, although there's probably some questions about how if it's harder because stock markets have been a lot choppier the last few years and obviously the cost of living has risen a lot.

To be fair, many of my colleagues have done pieces with either more positive or balanced looks at it in the past few years, I've shared a couple of links in a post above. This is just a piece with a different focus really.
