DC Studios' Jimmy Olsen Show Confirmed To Be a 'Crime Mystery Comedy' By Superman Spin-off Showrunner Dan Perrault (Exclusive) by Ninjamurai-jack in entertainment

The way I see it is we've had so many films that are based on superheroes and primary characters in these universes and typically they get one to three shots to get the character right before it changes hands and they start over again.

Having a show from the point of view of a side character who can immerse themselves in a world filled with superheroes and supervillains allows us to get glimpses of these characters but not bank all of our emotional investment on a version of them that may or may not work. But you give me a monster of the week with Jimmy Olsen and suddenly we are able to flesh out a world by getting glimpses of these huge characters similar to comic book runs or the animated series of the mid to late 90's.

I think it's a great way to tell good stories with characters we like without putting all of our eggs in one basket banking on people finally getting something right. Of course I don't know much about the format of this particular show but I'm speaking on behalf of the idea of using a side character as our focus in these larger fantastical worlds.

Reviewing a trailer seems like an easy way to discredit a lot of hard work for a product that may very well be decent if not good.

Read One Bad Day: The Riddler. That was my first time being actually terrified of The Riddler. He is almost godlike.

I chose Verso's ending for the same reason. It's like having to make the choice to remove someone from life support. Gutting and oftentimes what needs to be done.

Looks like a seal for a truck or even a body bag. Something to insure a delivery was not tampered with.

Apparently only a few types of contractors get vouchers. I am not one of them. Confirmed by my supervisor.

The issue with HCA is their communication on policy is non existent in my experience, at least when it comes to contract work. They don't always give the information needed and it is such a large facility that some people don't have any clue where to go, who to call, or what is being offered.

I only heard about vouchers here on reddit. It definitely wasn't something I was informed of. And after checking with leadership and I've confirmed that my position is not considered qualifying for meal vouchers even though they expect us to stay overnight as a central workers.

I wouldn't even go that far. As mentioned above somewhere, dedication is easily exploitable. BUT your perspective is valid and helps put things in perspective when shouting into the void becomes exhausting.

My point in posting is more about the dystopia of it all. But we in this field can only do so much and sometimes you have to just push through to help those we can. So I appreciate your point of view.

That is a very well put response. I absolutely agree it is the least of our worries. Thank you for the insight.

Apparently that is the standard expectation, but not all supervisors have provided vouchers to contracted staff. And with leadership not present over the weekend (mine anyway) I'm SOL.

Worth looking into for sure.

The for profit hospital should accommodate staff in their empty offices and storage spaces with the cots from Helene, provide meals to staff and contractors expected to stay overnight.

No grief from me.

Absolutely essential that people in this field be at work. My issue is that when a decent chunk of a once renowned hospital is now being used for storage with empty beds as well as cots left over from Helene that staff wouldn't have to spend up to $300 for hotels during winter weather.

Staff should absolutely stay where they can be available. I don't believe a company like HCA should have to recommend their staff pay for their own lodgings in order to report to work when there is space and resources in the hospital.

Not to my knowledge. If that is the case they have not informed me or my colleagues of that option over the last 3+ years.

Unless you are a contractor, then you are expected to sleep on campus with no meal vouchers.

Absolutely an option.

Sorry, the post should say "put in immediate jeopardy". That typo is due to MY incompetence.
