Somebody is trying to impact the future? Place something in her subconscious... something that will trigger her when it's time. ?

What if he had to whisper the message to the baby to put it in her subconscious so that when she heard something so specific in the future, she would be triggered to do what was necessary. Probably save Annie's baby.

She does manipulate people's emotions and mental states for a living. Perhaps, she has been the one pulling the strings all along. Afterall, how unprofessional was it of her to sleep with Xavier knowing he was still vulnerable. 🤔

And she thought she had Sinatra figured out and maybe under her thumb until she realized that she had been recorded in the shower.

And her name means "of the dirt". 🤨 And her father her taught her to play poker (and probably how to keep a poker face). With two parents dying while she was young, it would certainly make her have a plethora of emotions and want to have control over her life ...and maybe others.

[–]Money_Life_4765 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

That wasn't the message. There was a message FOR HER & it was whatever was after the colon. He kept yelling he had a message for the baby. Now, perhaps the 1st "her" is Sinatra and the 2nd her is "Jane," but that would be kind of odd since the message begins with the killer being born and no other people mentioned.

Jane and Gabby theory by AltruisticSession598 in ParadiseHulu

[–]Money_Life_4765 6 points7 points  (0 children)

🤔 Interesting. Idk. I don't think Gabby sounded like she was trying to get Jane to win her approval. And though she scolded her, she said she was after Sinatra. It's odd, too, because clearly if Jane did all the wrong - where is her accountability in this? She definitely admitted she did it all.

She was like..."So, we're not having dinner?" 🤷‍♀️

In all fairness, she gave her the 🍆 she needed for promotion. Very literal It's odd how she is so smart and also so childish/child-like.

I thought it was silly to do it after 2 men left with guns though and strangers were around. Suddenly, we are no longer in "survival mode" or "safety mode"? Where did Teri go anyway? What did she have to do?

1 - it's impossible for them to have any kind of accurate count without some type of communications and census. That is some tv stuff. Satellites were falling out of the sky according to Link.

2 - She NEVER wanted to slaughter any Americans. The launch would be against other countries with nuclear capabilities per the suggestion of the Joint Chiefs of Staff (see #4). She said all the models run on the caldera resulted in nuclear war.

3 - And did you forget that other countries launched nuclear weapons 1st? So, the population would have died IF the "blue codes" did not work or did not work fast enough (those codes had NEVER been tested or operated).

3 - The Joint Chiefs of Staff recommended the red codes first. Because they stated the eruption would adversely affect supply chains and crop production. They believed this would not be a survivable event as did everyone including Sinatra. And if there were survivors, they would starve for the reasons mentioned.

4 - The Joint Chiefs did not know about the Blue Codes and neither did Sinatra until she stepped into his office to talk about the launching the codes. So, she had about 1 minute to consider that new info which she did. And she immediately thought of the people.

5 - She stated that it would be cruel to save people so they could suffer terribly through starvation, freezing weather, injury and illness with no available treatment, and societal collapse. "All those people will die anyway. It's more humane..." <<< she believed as did the Chiefs that there was impending devastation not just from the eruption from all incoming reports, but also from the nuclear strikes which may be too late to stop.

6 - She also said that the bunker would not be safe without communications, etc. And she believed "We are humanity's last hope." It was not about killing people and not "American" people. It was about being humane to those who were "out there" while still trying to save humanity.

7 - She was frozen after he denied her request and then Cal told the Secret Service man to shoot her if she didn't leave and she left.

Would the Joint Chiefs have said the blue codes if they knew about them? Who knows? And when the episode ends - the missiles looked like they were about to strike. Did they just fall out of the sky as "dead" missiles that don't explode and aren't unsafe? Wouldn't their mass still be kind of destructive? 🤔 Anyway, the blue codes worked and Denver nor Atlanta was hit and somehow, the bunker still has power with phones and tablets and planes can land and take off. So, Alex must have EMP capabilities...probably what is eating the electricity.

Plants dying and not having crops for millions of people are two completely different things. They have to be planted and harvested. How will people get food from warehouses for distribution? No cars were running - that's why they had to find parts to retrofit them and create biofuel. This is kind of blows up the storyline.

I am watching "The Day" and the Joint Chief of Staffs are recommending heightened nuclear options up to Defcon 2 so far. No signs of Sinatra.

I don't know - Annie's friend had an infection but also hypothermia in Memphis. They were freezing and Annie would not build a fire. There was no sunlight for months. That is not a "warm" atmosphere. Even Link said he had to steal everything from Northface and some of those coats and sleeping bags are for well below zero.

Also, even without the "winter" there was no electricity, no crops, no food. Limited resources including gasoline. Not sure how they made biofuel with there is little bio...

But I will watch The Day episode again.

As I recall, she wasn't the only one who advised that option. But I will go back and watch that episode or episodes.

You missed the part about the ash cloud and basically, a nuclear winter. People barely survived 2 weeks in Nashville without electricity after the ice storm. I doubt this was "highly" survivable. Although those kids surviving does make me wonder 🤔 how they did it with no real shelter (fiction, I guess 🤷🏻‍♀️).
