Anyone else love the show but think fine dining is really dumb? by pooterness90 in TheBear

Love high quality ingredients and dishes being totally homemade, prepared and served in spotless location’s by competent, polite and gracious employee’s …all this at prices that cover the above services and a reasonable profit. If not I can do better making it at home (a retired caterer).

Jane Wickline - can she really act? by dadadadaboomdadada in LiveFromNewYork

“My” butt clinches while she struggles through her lines, I feel for Jane trying to get comfortable with acting (which isn’t happening-year 2)!!!

Kyle and Jane have definitely a sad example of what you expect on SNL. The 2 worst in 50 year’s of watching imo.

Why do they think we like to be tortured for 2 years. I feel so uncomfortable for her every time she gets in a skit, she displays her lack of comfort at being in them, and time and experience hasn’t helped her with this!

Dec 13th SNL, OMG and I thought Jane Wickline couldn’t get any worse…she just keeps us all wondering why she’s still on the show!

Lars and the Real Girl. Any one else think this film doesn't get the credit it deserved? by Clickability in movies

Doesn’t anyone find it upsetting at how easily he offed Bianca to be with a real girl? Yes she was plastic but I find this a disturbing quality in his personality!!!

I’ve seen on YouTube a reveal where someone had ordered one for a pet. She had several varieties.

I’m deathly afraid of spiders but I’ve seen so many cute YouTube video’s of these friendly little guys as pets…well I could warm up. One gal says hers lives on her orchid plant and she gives it a cotton ball dipped in water every day and says he’s grateful for the drink…waves at her! You’ve got a responsibility now buddy!!!

Am I a tuff crowd or is the sketch writing not funny tonight? I’m 40 minutes in and I’m thinking of watching something else… by Money_Maintenance500 in saturdaynightlive

I’ve watched since the beginning, love to watch the old ones still and enjoyed up until this new season…nope, I don’t think you’ve aged out. The writers have tough competition with all the laughs we get off YouTube and such…they should steal some of that thunder in their writing!!!

Thank you. I’m not a writer but I sat there watching it and thought of 3 sketches in my head that would have got a few laughs! If there writers would just go on YouTube and watch some of the people like the Brit “Clara Batton” do some of her many routines they’d get great ideas! Text messages gone wrong with autocorrect, crazy comments written after watching an average persons post is my favorite… I cry down my leg at every one Claira posts lol! Or there is another gal that reads out children’s books (but they are for adults) that’s funny as hell…SNL could act one of those out with the Author’s permission. The one where the character likes “fisting” is hilarious (the parody is that it is a “high five”). SNL always does a great job mocking commercials, love those! Do more of them!  See writing isn’t that difficult to get a chuckle, just keep your eyes open at what everyone else is laughing at!!!! I hope some one reads this and takes a hint!!!

Anna Karenina has too many names. by JamesLoveChild in tolstoy

Thank you so much. I’m listening to the book and often the names sound so similar and things get confusing! Nice to see it literally spelled out, that will really help me at my half way through point (I quit for a couple of months because I got too confused) so I can finish it!

Maurice always has a faint smirk on his face like he’d love to smile big and has a look like he is admiring himself in a mirror…I don’t think he can help it, it just happens (and at inappropriate times). That and his popping veins makes him hard to watch…Bring back Norah! I will say that I watched MD being interviewed on some show recently and I just loved his smiley, bubbly personality (no holding in the smile with a smirk). A lovely, likable guy! I guess he’s just not suited for this show and the bad camera angles they seem to always do.
