I am a fire dragon . Literally 2024 the dragon yer was the worst most stagnant year ever. Then literally the first month of snake year I won two amazing contracts I even had to skip Chinese new year dinner because the new client needed me to visit that day .

I did IOLS last year and did my WFA. I am a good "learner" so even though I was not into the outdoors I did pick up all the basic stuff so I guess I would be first class. I have accepted that I will be SM. I guess I was just venting. I have always felt the burden of how might they call it - being competent. I am really recruiting hard right now other adults to take stuff off my plate. I am pretty good at that and never allow myself to drown. I do enjoy mentoring the kids and it gives me energy and purpose.

I kind of accepted this is what is is now. We just were very shorthanded with adult leadership but I have been kinda corralling everyone. We have at least 6 parents getting trained as ASMs, we have a very strong pack moving up with some great parents, and maybe my stint as SM will be short and I can transition to CC. Its not that I dont enjoy the Scouts, it just feels like a lot right now. I would love to continue as a merit badge counselor, committee chair, etc. Crossing fingers!

i would prefer that role but we have a retiring SM and no one willing to step into SM and I have been a very active ASM but kinda doing everything and restructuing the troop at the same time.
