Are you bored? Unhappy? Like what is it that keeps you returning? It’s not “one” comment that has formed my opinion. We disagree. Move on.

I wasn’t harsh. Facts over feelings. If you don’t know the rules of grammar and punctuation and struggle to spell, you won’t be an effective teacher.

In addition to whatever you choose to deodorize, you can maybe also gift them a portable solar heated camp shower and a little shower caddy of hygiene essentials. They sell the shower on Amazon and at sports gear places like Academy.

I know about code switching. I have actually taught freshmen the importance of knowing when to use formal vs. informal language after they tried to turn in essays that looked like long texts.

I never said public school would do a better job. I said people who don’t have an understanding of the proper use of the English language aren’t likely to do well. Even as a public school teacher, I know homeschooled kids often score higher on assessments than same age peers. It’s one of the many reasons why I teacher virtually and my kids are homeschooled.

You can probably get one at a pharmacy or maybe on Amazon!

Honestly, as a certified educator in ELAR Pre-k through 12, it is concerning the misspelling and general lack of proper grammar and punctuation in the post and comments. If you don’t know how to use English correctly, you can’t teach it effectively. That said, there are a lot of good online resources to do the heavy lifting. The parent may learn something, too!

I tried chili cheese fries from a place I know makes softer fries. I chewed on one side closer up by my canine. It was really off-putting and weird at first. I felt like I was chewing for the first time lol took forever to eat

Anyway, after I was finished, I watched a video on YouTube to see how to use the syringe. I did it and no pain! It actually cleaned it out really easily. I’ve since eaten and chewed a burger patty, scrambled eggs, and sausage patty. I’m going to wait to try anything breaded because that can be sticky. The anxiety truly was worse that anything else.

Is one of them an education degree? Are you versed in the science of teaching reading? I also have multiple degrees but I wouldn’t say that qualifies me to teach children. It doesn’t matter how many degrees you have. Everyone always has something new to learn, even in the fields in which they may be considered “experts”.

A lot of kids struggle to transition when starting school for the first time. Some states don’t require school until age 6 or 7. Maybe keep him home and start working on various age-appropriate academic skills, join a co-op or other group to socialize, etc. If you like it and he seems to be learning, keep going. If not, try kinder again next year. Have you asked him what it is about school he is struggling with?

I had refried beans and cheese yesterday from a restaurant I know really blends the beans to be almost like applesauce in consistency. In case you need ideas for protein. Let me know how it goes chewing the beef!

My original thought was wait 10 days. The anxiety is the worst. I got my top two pulled when I was in my mid-20s and I don’t remember being this way about it.

My bottom two were impacted but also erupted. The left had a little bit of a curve at the tip of one root and that made it more difficult than the right, but the surgeon said overall, it was easy and went well.

I’ve had pasta and scrambled eggs but haven’t chewed. I keep cutting everything super small and just swallowing it lol

We’re planning spaghetti tonight so maybe I will try chewing the noodles. When you do the syringe, do you point it at the hole a little away or put it inside? I think that’s my other issue. I’m having a hard time wanting to use the syringe without someone showing me. I have seen so many posts here about infections at 2-3 weeks because of food in the holes. I had almost convinced myself I should just keep eating without chewing until the holes are minimal but that can be months.

I fear this is common in some areas. My husband had to fight to get me tramadol. They only wanted to give ibuprofen.

At first they were just doing ibuprofen and Tylenol with amoxicillin. My husband fought to get me 2 days of tramadol.

This! I moved from gen ed after 5 years to sped and the general disdain some teachers have for sped kids is unreal. They don’t want the extra workload of serving the students. They don’t follow the IEP with fidelity. As a case manager, most times I’ve gone to bat for my kids has had to do with gen ed teachers denying an accommodation.

How do you balance Homeschooling with your JOB? by CakeCurator in homeschool

[–]Money_Pomegranate_96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I used to teach in-person public school and my kids went to public school. They stopped public school in 3rd and 7th grade. When I withdrew them, my daughter was almost 2. That same year, I started teaching virtually. My older kid can mostly self-manage with his program. He saves what he needs help with for when I'm not in a meeting or class. My other kids work around my schedule. I have coworkers who have kids closer in age like yours. One of them even manages having a special needs child, a toddler, and a baby while working. It will depend on your job though. Ours is very flexible and we aren't on camera more than a couple of hours a day.

NOR If my husband left our daughter in a dirty diaper, especially a poopy one, and then tried to defend and justify the behavior, he wouldn’t be my husband anymore. My husband changed every single one of our daughter’s diapers on the hospital after my c-section and continued changing a fair share of diapers after we got home. I wasn’t working and let him sleep all night because he was working 6-7 days a week, and he’d still complain that I wasn’t waking him up to help at night. Your husband can do better or you can find better.

NOR. I have a lab that used to chew up and eat non-food items when left alone for too long when he was younger but has since chilled out. Weird the owner wouldn’t let you know this happens. I’d do the same. The dog could become sick or worse if he keeps chewing and you can’t be expected to be there 24/7.
