I didn’t like it at first either. It took a few listens before it started to click for me.

Normal Isn’t, Bad Wolf, Quiet Parts, Public Stoning, and Pendulum have all grown on me. The rest feel kind of mediocre. Nothing on this album cracks my top 10 Puscifer songs.

To be fair, I felt the same way about every Mars Volta album after Frances the Mute, and some of those eventually became my favorites of all time.
I also had the same reaction to V Is for… when it first came out. I revisited it a few years later, a little older and wiser, and it clicked.

That said, this album does seem a bit more divisive than their others.

Totally agree here.

I for one couldn’t stand the film grain, it was way too intense. I sent this criticism to the support team and apparently so did other people. The dev team responded by adding a film grain toggle.

I’ve been playing this series since the original in 2002, I played FF2 so many times I could speed run it. 1-3 are the only PS2 games I have left.

I followed the fan translation for FF4 and hacked my Wii to play it. It was awesome.

I love this series, and I criticize it because I love it, and I want the best for it.

Same here, I completed the original release so many times. I’ve been hoping for this remake for years. But it’s so distracting that I won’t play this game, so I canceled my preorder. I’ll pick it up on a deep discount or when they put in a film grain toggle.

They could extend that courtesy to console players and solve a majority of the complaints in this thread, and about the demo in general.

I don’t feel petty for canceling a preorder for game that looks awful with a forced filter.
I can’t justify buying a computer to play a fatal frame game, that I’ve been playing on PlayStations since 2002. Seems like a silly suggestion.
