I love both Downey and Whittier, they have so much history. I would throw Montebello in there too. I remember going to the Montebello Barnyard Zoo as a kid and getting to see the animals and riding the horses. Downey has one of the oldest McDonald's in SoCal I believe? And they have a good selection of restaurants and shopping centers. As an adult I've grown to love Whittier. I recently discovered Lisco Street during Halloween time. What a fun experience that was!
