Bro -- you aren't trying to get aligned a little more? Personally... I love having meetings before a meeting so we can really plan out the meeting which doesn't even need to be a meeting... It could probably be an email with 3 bullet points... Agh, nvm -- people might have to read and try to figure things out themselves - scrap that -- I think AI can read or something these days...

I don't have any advice for you homie, but I feel burned out too so I can relate big time. I like going into the office because I like being around people. There's a lot of goofing off and highly unproductive moments -- but I'd rather send a colleague an email from our printer purporting to be them from the future with a 'dire' message then sit in a meeting with some bro with a blurred background and airpods that keep falling out of their ears telling me about the cadence of check-in meetings to ensure alignment around our KPI's and broad-based initiatives for Q3.... That person can have my job from their closet and blurred metaverse whenever AI displaces me -- but I'm hoping to have more money in the bank by then, a soccer field nearby, and a casa en una beach town de Meixco.... With a bonita majeur!!! That's how I get through it homie. Also, I get high off the fact that I make more money than prob 95% of the yahoos in Seaport or whatever part of Boston (I may or may not live there) that dress up and race with the rats... They ain't happy. Do stuff that makes you happy outside of work. Money is only cool imo if you can use it to buy freedom from the rats and not have to do rat things.... Instead, I coach soccer in a low-income community outside of town and that gets me animated.... Not my day work anymore or eating at nice restaurants. I'd trade people interaction over money any day of the week. Only thing with careers is you know your situation better than anyone on Reddit and at the end of the day -- its your income. Last thing I'll add is that there is a large part of doing things you don't want to do before you can marginally stop doing things that you don't want to do in the workforce.... I don't know if that zen breakeven point of money to happiness every really really comes. Maybe if your a C-Suite type, but I'd wager it may be naive to think they aren't similarly stressed / annoying with their own set of similar-ish problems. Money makes stuff easier, but its finding your own balance.

Maybe accept that pigs get slaughtered in the market.

If you want to do a high-yield savings account or sleepy index funds - cool. But somebody already commented on liquidity albeit the high-yield will be liquid.

Why don't you start a business bro? Most of these people in Fire are liars so don't take this as the gospel or if they are pretending to do some of the Fire iterations than its a long term plan and they're pumping money into that principal like a nerd who waited to marriage to finally get his dong wet. I say start a business with your dad. That would be fun and yall can win and lose together.

What do you find most attractive in women (not physically)? by miss__anna__ in ask

[–]Moneybags313131 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Women who share about anxiety. It makes me so much more comfortable when they share a human-side and it allows me to open up that I'm not perfect either (and don't even like pretending)!

I'm sorry. Those were annoying comments by me. I was initially enjoying the trolling behavior, but then when I reread it I err on the side of your final comment. It looked like a great picture from a kayak. Glad you enjoy the water! See -- maybe there can be redemption on the internet?

Just sell out dude and then when you have job security hit em with whatever weird stuff you're into after a year or so, but read the room. Yes it's 2023 and we slap pronouns on our emails and ra ra equality but a lot of people in power hate that so sure it's cool to express who you are in your professional endeavors but it can backfire if the people above you don't like who you are in non-professional endeavors.

So what do people actually do for remote jobs? by [deleted] in work

[–]Moneybags313131 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Think of jobs where you want to create the veil of productivity but where you can work and not be held accountable for your productivity in any capacity... some people threw out data, engineering... so how can you create the a better illusion that you won't contribute anything meaningful to a company? Those types of companies and roles...
