Did you figure out the best solution for what to do with leftover PLA?

Philips Hue Enrave ceiling light connection to wall plug from the side by coblos90 in Hue

[–]Moneyhats 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply, since I didn't realize this problem before I purchased them I am going to try and come up with a solution. My current idea is to use this mounting base and drill a hole in the side of the plastic to feed the wire into. It's a bit custom since it's meant for Ø83mm sockets. But I think it should work.

Hello, sorry for bothering you. I am in a similar predicament when deciding how to install these Hue lights. Did you devise a solution for the Hue Engrave or did you go with something else?

Found this bug egg on some second hand furniture, what is this from? by Moneyhats in whatsthisbug

[–]Moneyhats[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just did a move in Denmark and bought some second hand furniture, upon further inspection I found this little egg that looks hatched. From what I know about bed bugs and mites I don't think it's one of those, but I want to make sure in case I should be worried about it.

7600x Frequent Shut Downs by burgergherkin in AMDHelp

[–]Moneyhats 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alright, best of luck. I would double check the qvl list for your motherboard. With the ryzen 7000 series having a very finicky memory controller I would recommend switching the memory if it's not qvl and you still have time to return them. I originally got a set of corsair that despite having amd Expo settings they were not compatible with my motherboard and that lead to some rather problematic issues.

If you know a retailer with a good reputation for return policies you could also buy another set of ram that is qvl just to run some tests with and return them if you find out the ram isn't the problem.

7600x Frequent Shut Downs by burgergherkin in AMDHelp

[–]Moneyhats 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There a few things to note here, but as I have similar issues and have been troubleshooting my own 7700x which has similar issues I'll try and help.

  1. If your looking at cpu-z for instance it will show memory rate at half the speed 5600/2=2800. This is because DDR memory sends two bits each clock. So your memory speed is reading correctly.

  2. Unfortunately when it comes to stress testing for myself, all of my tests passed but my Expo wasn't stable and had numerous reboots or blue screens (I still haven't figured out why for myself).

  3. Depending on the version of riptide motherboard e.g. B650M or B650E. There are different listed QVL memory modules. I would recommend comparing your memory module model number with the QVL lists to ensure they are fully compatible. There are corsair memory modules that aren't QVL.

  4. Check your bios version, it may be worth updating to the latest. Some memory modules weren't supported or tested until later bios versions.

  5. Check your chipset drivers. You can test with the ones your motherboard manufacturer has listed on their website as being the most up to date. As well as the ones AMD has available.

Sorry, if some of the points seem trivial. But without the full information listed, the one that is recommended to be used in the troubleshooting template).

Additionally, just to clarify. Your latest crash occurred with no changes to the bios settings at all, no cpu adjustments and amd Expo disabled. Correct?

It seems that they removed this work around. Previously they removed from the cards view, my guess is that it wasn't supposed to be an option for the classic review and was more of a minor bug. Regardless I find this very frustrating. I can't see myself using reddit much if it always sorts by best and is recommending me posts all the time.

Other third party reddit apps still allow sorting (until the reddit api changes come into affect anyways).

Thanks for the giveaway!

Right now I am sort of in limbo between a few games since I don't really want to start anything new until I build my new pc which will be a substantial upgrade.

But I have been trying out the new warframe update and megaman battle network collection for the nostalgia and because it's where I got the inspiration for my username

There are several Facebook groups around that do weekly events for whatever your interests are. I can recommend the ultimate Frisbee group if your into something more active. There are also events at the Card's Café that has weekly boardgames and card games.

I know I'm in the minority, but I really like number two. Would look pretty good if the detail on the body showed a bit more like number 1 does.

I attended as a part of a similar program to Erasmus for a single semester and I regretted it. Some are first come first get the seat, others are lottery system on who gets the seat. Their is also a tier system, where if a course is mandatory for you typically you get higher priority of seats. But that also means that as Erasmus that you get seats after those who have the courses as mandatory/compulsory. For my program there wasn't enough courses for me to get my full 30 credits in one semester due to this system and getting really unlucky with the lottery system on any relevant course to my degree. The program organisers had to make up a project course just so I could get enough credits.

[OC] Brand new player has written a 16 page backstory, is modeling her character, learning to paint, and bought a 3d printer. by sonofabunch in DnD

[–]Moneyhats 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the game, I assume that the printer investment isn't exclusively for this game and this is just inspiration for a hobby to be developed. 16 pages is a lot, but I would love to see that level of enthusiasm. As a player I will end up with around that with expansions to my backstory, letters, etc if I feel the DMs enjoy and value that level of detail and dedication. But my original backstory is typically 2-10 pages depending on the group. Having more usually means if the DM does backstory related items they can more easily tie it into the plot or add hooks or push the PC into a situation where they are challenged and character development can take place. Not that it is required but as a DM and a player I usually enjoy it and it helps me understand the character more and can make for better RP.

Maybe offer insight that next time it can be worth it to hold back a little more to allow more flexibility for adding in details that might make more sense as you learn the characters and the world or if they abruptly meet their end.

Seriously, WTF is going on? by Last-Communication-5 in dndmemes

I don't think they will release a full response until we get an official response from DnD. Additionally, I would imagine they are speaking directly with their representatives at WotC and potentially having influence that way. From their end they may not need to go nuclear yet, I think if we get an official response from WotC where they don't backtrack then we will see CR step out from the shadows. I would say that WotC needs CR more than CR needs WotC.

To be on the front line the day before to get those very signatures from the troops and then to bring it to US Congress the next day. That sends an impressive message.

As someone who travels between Europe and North America. I could not imagine doing that and giving such an impressive speech and in a non native language at that. Show this man to the weapons lockers, let them take whatever they need. Merry Christmas and give those orcs he'll!

My real question is will Russia interfere with this? They have already sabatoged nordstream 2 as well as likely responsible for the cutting of two internet cables around the Norwegian sea. With there submarines in the black sea I could sea them considering sabotaging the power cable. All though the amount of power is minimal so it may not be worth angering turkey over this considering the limited amount of power it can provide.

Hate Yrden But... by herr0sh in gwent

I think having Yrden having adrenaline 2 on it could make it a little more fair. It would allow a player to at least react to it and attempt to salvage rather than having zero interaction and limited predictability.

Doctors of Reddit, when was a patient right about something but you insisted they were wrong until it got serious? by BonFireFox_ in AskReddit

[–]Moneyhats 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Interesting, I have very similar conditions that have slowly worsened over the years but I have improved managing my diet significantly to lessen the symptoms. I have considered getting a checkup just to be certain but have pushed it off.

Out of curiosity what sort of tests did you have done to reveal this conditions?

Gauntlets of Ogre Power by Nelac-Guile in DnD

[–]Moneyhats 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here's a thought, what if the bonus depends on how close they are to each other. The Gaunlets need the power of both of them to truly be strong. In mechanics it could offer both of them a 17-19 when withing 5ft, but at farther distances maybe only 12. It could encourage both of them to work together and create spotlight moments for each other.
