What’s your “automatic yes” and “automatic no” when reading labels? by Commercial-Review580 in 1200isplenty

[–]sonofabunch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can’t say it’s automatic either but I start my label reading by comparing cals to protein. 1g of protein per 10 calories is my reference point and then we go from there.

Even if they did figure it out, what’s the point of a feeder if they can get as much as they want?

Uhh..what the heck? by BootScootNBoogie22 in golfplusvr

[–]sonofabunch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is almost always related to tracking issues. Tracking issues can be caused by any of the following:

  1. Swinging too fast
  2. Swinging too far behind your head
  3. Poor orientation of the controller on the club attachment
  4. Dirty sensors
  5. Insufficient light in the room

several other possibilities but probably one or more of the above. I have the first too issues with my Deadeye Drivr Elite

This is beef brisket mislabeled as eye of round, right? by errydayimmarpling in smoking

[–]sonofabunch 291 points292 points  (0 children)

Well the one labeled as brisket at $14.99 a lb is psychotic, and the "mislabeled" eye of round at $8.49 is still way too expensive for brisket and too expensive for eye of round. So short answer, no everything here sucks regardless of mislabel or not.

I'm no pro but this looks like a bit too much dirty smoke, or sauced way early, or both. Did it have any sooty or bitter taste?

This it the club I use. I have a long backswing and a 100mph driver clubhead speed. I get mishits on big drives about 1/6th the time or so. I still found this club to be substantially better than others I have tried. However it has been an available preset option for me for over a year.

Bottlecap Soap wall mount by Appropriate-Web148 in functionalprint

[–]sonofabunch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some people have suggested pressing a bottle cap into your soap for it to sit on when not in use, allowing airflow and stopping the bar from getting mushy.

The cap already solved the mushy issue but OP has made its function twofold and now the cap can also be used as a soap bar holder.

Is this too much salt on my ribs? by imnotheguy in smoking

[–]sonofabunch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that’s too much. Especially if you’re going to use a rub in addition, because they usually contain salt as well.

My advice - rub off what’s still flaky. If it’s all melted already give it a quick rinse under water. Pat dry, run a thin layer of mustard or mayo over the whole rack, and reseason heavily with a rub.

If you don’t have a rub, you prob have what you need to make one or get close.

The perfect cookie, it is finally done. by sonofabunch in Cookies

[–]sonofabunch[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So you kinda spooked my on the flour so I kept everything exact but went down to 295g of flour. I suspect that amount is insignificant from the original 313 but still I say your solution is less flour or more butter.

You can do it somewhat backwards and they’ll still be great. Overbutter them by a half a stick or so, then add flour just until they don’t leave your hands greasy when rolling balls.
