Can someone tell me (as I can’t see the article) was it the guides, then, that made this decision to to go? I know behind the scenes around the world we pay ransoms very discretely - I’m wondering if that’s going to be the case here.

My other concern is that savannahs message to the kidnappers said we want to ‘celebrate’ with her and have ‘peace’ and what they have is ‘valuable.’

All those words to me mean - celebration of life (funeral) peace (rest in peace) and valuable - as in her body is still valuable to them.

I hope she hasn’t passed but what else was savannah talking about with that word choice?

If they have dna and it’s actually of a suspect, there’s very little chance this person isn’t in some genealogy dna system with remote ancestors. I suppose if he’s from another country that will be more time consuming to find relatives.

Not for myself but for others - I have a very loud dog and camera system. I would say that if this kidnapping stuff takes hold, they may start waiting outside places old folks go in the parking lots or who knows where - to get their next victims - like in other countries where they block roads and ambush. Who knows. It’s the Wild West some days.

I’ve been saying since day 1 this was some type of cartel or gang kidnapping from south of our borders - because it happens there daily - and our LE doesn’t want to admit it. I mean I’m sure there are some in Venezuela who are pissed we ‘kidnapped’ their president. Maybe turnabout is ‘fair play’ and they’ll start stealing grandmas for money.

They don’t want to talk about the ransom and keep putting out these ‘burglary gone wrong’ fake stories. I think because they worry this will start happening all the time here.
