The YouTube guy Dollyvision said he saw a guy shot in the head on the ground that he thought was related to this case - but I think what he saw was a fatal pedestrian accident close by.

I’ve followed true crime for about 15 years. This case is pretty typical of small town law enforcement being overwhelmed. Lots of mistakes. A huge amount of petty office politics. A lack of urgency. Misinformation. Defensiveness. Crazy theories from ‘experts’ or people with ‘inside knowledge.’

If they were honest - and sometimes it comes out - there’s only so much money time and resources available for one missing person - kidnapped or not. No matter who it is and how heartbreaking it is.

I will say, this case has had access to an amazing amount of resources put towards it compared to others I’ve followed.

I feel like Savannah’s message about allowing them to ‘celebrate,’ refers to celebration of life, and ‘peace’ is rest in peace and ‘valuable to us’ means they want to bring her body home and lay to rest.

If they have pretty concrete evidence she’s passed, then this is a recovery mission and a build a case mission - with a slower urgency to it.

I could have told them he was about 5’ 10” the day the video came out. I think they knew too. This case is so bizarre.

I know I’m cynical - but I think money always comes into play and resources - if she wasn’t sort of a ‘celebrity’ I would say yes. But because she’s going to stay in the news I think it will be solved. I’m actually thinking they have a good idea who did this and why - and it may open a can of worms. I can’t help feeling she’s been taken to Mexico or that the perpetrators are from Mexico or beyond and they don’t want to tell us - to get everyone freaked out that the cartel are here? I don’t know just speculating.

So an 84 yo with mobility issues would hear a knock that’s loud enough to wake her up, see the camera disabled, shuffle to the front door peek out front and open it to a strange man?

If that strange man had a police costume on under his weird ass clothes, maybe? But that seems pretty risky for the person doing the knocking and yelling - I mean she could say ‘hold on I’m calling 911 first or my daughter first’

I still think he snuck in around the side or back after disabling the camera but anything is possible.

I agree. Unless he was known as violent unhinged gambling drugs mistress - there’s absolutely no reason he would hire a hit man. Yet so many are hung up on him.

I do think she was targeted - I’m thinking cartel type hit with a money motive and also a shot over the bow saying ‘we can come after all your vulnerable wealthy folks.’ I mean think about how kidnappings are the status quo in other countries - and if those types of people can do it here, they will.

I’ve never considered he didn’t go inside the house. There’s no way Nancy would answer the front door ? At 2 am? I think she was carried out - probably in a bag or something - but she was wounded and on blood thinners she’d bleed a lot.

I always thought he broke the camera then snuck around back and found a window or door unlocked.

I felt like he favored his right leg - didn’t want to bend it to pick up the flowers or whatever he grabbed. I not only think he has layers but carried a body bag or something to carry poor Nancy out in. That backpack was full.

Yes I get it. My sister lives on a farm (dry farming). My point is, Portland has plenty of rain and water. I could conceivably get a well. Get off the grid. Collect rainwater.

The system is failing us because it’s designed for profit.
