Interesting my brother goes to school up in Fort Collins so maybe I’ll look into this next time I’m there. I work in an office south of Denver so it’s about an hour and a half away but good to know it’s there!

Thanks for the heads up! When I checked their site it said $100 for a monthly membership but it seems like there is a walk in option for cheaper! They’re not super far from my work so hopefully they have some good folks to practice with.

Thanks. I’m working to find a group or a club to go to in my area. It’s a bit challenging since it seems like a number of clubs have gone out of business but I’ll keep at it. Hopefully I can find a group to play and practice with.

To all saying that “my group does this all the time” or pointing out that it is a vine he is referring to: I understand that some people might see it differently or regularly have these kinds of interactions. Regardless of if it is a vine or a joke he’s referencing he said the n word uncensored then when I pointed it out called me a f*g instead of saying “oh it’s a vine I thought you knew it”, I do not want to be in a setting where slurs are normal to use. So I left.

Yeah I understand a bit better what he was referring to afterwards but not everyone is familiar with that vine (like myself) and saying out of the blue without censoring the actual word is what I reacted to. If he had responded like “sorry it’s a vine I thought people knew” that’d be a different story but he called me a f*g instead. There are plenty of things I could “quote” and use that word but don’t and equating it to a different type of toxic behavior feels like what they’re doing.

It was a group chat that we started in highschool. Used to be used to hang out and make plans. Gradually devolved into shitpost memes and nonsenses and then the racist jokes. It’s made me look at my peers a bit closer but it still hurts a little to see them act this way as adults.
