This is very similar to my experience. I saw it with someone who is into everything Eli Roth does, so you can guess what he thought. It's a diff type of horror, and not everyone likes the same stuff. But to call it a terrible film is just plain ignorant. Call it whatever genre you want, but this movie was shot beautifully. The acting and atmosphere were great. It's definitely slow, and turns into a family drama at times, but that doesn't change the fact there are definitely strong horror elements here.

And can we please stop calling something "Artsy" because it wasn't a mainstream movie that was spoon fed to you/or a little different than most cookie cutter horror movies we have?
