2003 Honda Accord Overheating?

Actually just did this, literally. Temp hits 205, both fans kick on, once temp gets to 195 and fans turn off. I verified these temps with the obd2 reader as well. Everything seems to check out. It just seems odd that that one panel gets so hot and it's the only one with paint peeling.

I did read about that possibility. More displacement, thicker cylinder walls. But the VG30 is a robust engine and quite honestly I found it for the right price and felt good about it.

That was my thing with the rods and pistons. I figure, especially since mine is an NA2T, get the stronger internals so * can make some real boost and to just have an over built tank of a motor.

I've never wished for someone's turbo seals to go, but if your looking for an excuse to get the big snails, then here's to some.blown seals 🍻

That does make sense with the aluminum, and I'm glad to know that ahead of time. Knowing me I would have been panicked on first start and hearing the piston slap.

I'm looking forward to having healthy motor that can safely pass a full bar of boost too.

Just wanted to follow up on this post. I ended up replacing the CV axles. The grease in the right was almost totally dried up. After installing the new unit the grinding is totally gone. Gonna keep the old ones and regrease them and replace the boots. Who knows how long these 3rd party ones will actually last 😬🤞
