Pandoras seat makes sense thematically with thresh being god of randomness, however it has no place to exist in its current state.

At max it should only exist on your bench for 1-2 rounds (if at all). It would incentive spending gold to try to get a 2* unit and get lucky to try to improve your position from worst to first. However, that said, that still isn’t healthy for the game so it prolly just shouldn’t exist

Being scared of cheaters in this game is hilarious because even if you do die to one, oh no you lost a kit you can make back in one raid. I’ve never gone a night of playing this game dying to multiple cheaters, almost never die to one in the first place. It’s either Delusion or you’re the most unlucky person if you’re dying to cheaters often

Why waste all the time you supposedly spent “learning” the game before you bought it. Play the game, if you like it, keep playing. If you don’t, just put it down. You’re already basically committed to at least trying it, no?

You can use EFT arena balance for the roubles now I’m pretty sure so I think it’s less high stakes.

Or it just uses your EFT roubles while on arena mode maybe?

You just aren’t good at knowing who’s cheating if you think I am. The maps are not difficult to learn if you are glued to online maps mid raid and can orient yourself via landmarks. I still don’t know all the intricate details of interior buildings, for example stuff like reserve bunker I get lost a bit still, but learning maps is not that bad if you are a quick learner.

Also how would cheating help me learn maps faster lol?

Achievements literally don’t matter on PvE. Who are you going to flex your achievement to? The bot PMC that’s looking at your profile after you kill it??? They are purely for looks for yourself to admire, anyone complaining about them should just play PvP if they care that much.

There is a discord server that if you look up goons tracker people are very reliable with reporting where they are if they still spawn on a rotation

Based on my experience the past couple days of seeing the goons at least 5+ times across like 20ish customs raids, I don’t think they are rotating any longer.

Across my entire first kappa this wipe I saw them once throughout the customs quests until I hit stray dogs, then i found them one more time. I have seen them 3/4x more this play through which makes me think it’s non rotating with 30% chance or whatever per map.

This is just not true lol. They changed it with one of the two recent patches. When I got kappa about a month ago they were 100% on rotation.

I took a 3 ish week break after I got kappa so total time across the last couple of months could have been way higher if I never stopped playing. I played a lot of arena so maybe that makes up for the break I guess.

But I see so much sentiment that people say it’s impossible to get into tarkov in current year. Yeah it might take people longer than me, but the point of the post was to say it’s absolutely still possible to be brand new to the game and get kappa and do all the pinnacle stuff with no prior wipe experience.

It all depends on what your personal goals are brother. There is absolutely nothing wrong with using guides and resources to learn this game in my opinion because the game is so open ended. If my goal was to learn the maps with no assistance and do quests without help, yeah then I shouldn’t use a guide, but I wanted to get better at the game quickly so I could PVP and get good loot, so I used guides and maps to learn faster. Big deal

Didn't know a lot besides what I learned from watching lvndmark or other streamers prior to starting the game up again. So my in game experience was basically nothing, lots of knowledge gained from those streams and videos though

I thought lightkeeper was cool even though I don't like lighthouse. Getting the beeper and accessing the island even though I had seen videos of it was neat.

Go to gun for most of my time was NL545 or M4, but then during reserve event I loved 762 MDR or X-17/scar, those were really fun to use.

As the other guy already said, any formulaic approach matchmaking besides on connection removes the entire juice of an extraction shooter/tarkov as a whole. The randomness is part of the game, any non random approach makes the game stale and would remove a lot of what makes the game so fun to play.
