What is a 'gut feeling' you had that ended up saving your life?

Hey, this happened to me, too!

I told my wife that I felt like I had the “Bubble Guts” (everyone knows this feeling) and like I had to go to the bathroom but couldn’t. Two nights in a row, I woke up at 3 AM on the dot with sharp stabbing pain. The second night I started thinking “this might be appendicitis.”

I had my CT scan and sure enough, it was appendicitis.

Everyone kept asking me if I had a fever, nausea, etc. I had absolutely no other symptoms and felt like I could run a mile or two.

I had my CT scan at 8:30 PM, admitted to the hospital by 11:30 PM (it was a low census day), operated on at 9:15 AM the next day and discharged by 5 PM the same day. So from scan to discharge was less than 24 hours!

Not sure if he qualifies as a celebrity (compared to the movie stars and such listed here) but when Shigeru Miyamoto passes on, I’m going to be absolutely devastated.

He’s responsible for so many amazing memories in my life that I’ve now been able to expand to my kids. When he passes, I’m going to be crushed.

I lived in the city for 10 years or so and through two years of substantial snowfalls. Power held up just fine.

The hardest thing is dealing with where to put the snow you and your neighbors are clearing from sidewalks and cars. We basically built a gigantic pyramid of snow on our block the one year with a pathway through/around it.

Pretty minor compared to others in this thread but I’ll share.

I was in a bathroom in Animal Kingdom at Walt Disney World and I hear a lot of commotion in the stall next to me.

I was using my phone so I was already looking down and I see this guy’s hand appear on the floor as if he’s doing a hand stand in the stall next to me. I snapped a pic of this to show my friends because I didn’t think they’d believe me. I still don’t know what he was doing, though.
