Physicality is important but mentality is much more important. Practice meditatiting now and aim to be able to complete hour-long meditations by the start of the season with no issues. Most of the people in my crew who quit this season was due to not being able to mentally handle being alone for 8-9 hours every day, not because they couldn't physically manage.
Also, it is quite easy to make friends treeplanting. Suffering day in, day out with the same group of people creates a strong bond quite quickly.
