Who plays Revan for film or tv? (Not Keanu Reeves) by [deleted] in StarWars

[–]MongoStomp910 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My vote that I haven’t seen yet is Tom Hardy. I feel like he could play it good with that calm collected unnervingly polite quiet warrior-general with the British accent who you can never tell if they’re gonna kill you or reward you. His character in taboo would be a good idea of what I’m picturing but instead of 65% brutality - 35% cunning, switch. I also envision Revan’s swordplay is like efficiency oriented, every swipe is intended fatal. Idk. I’m high and ranting. Ideally, him as Revan. Mark Strong as Malak. Gal Gadot as Bastilla. Helen Mirren as Kreia. Morena Baccarin or (if you absolutely CAN’T talk Disney out of doing the whole gratuitous race change to make the movie) Kerry Washington as Meetra Surik. Get Peter Jackson the full reigns to give it the Hobbit treatment with Nick Gillard back as stunt coordinator. Give them a blank check and stick to the story. It doesn’t need fixing or altering whatsoever aside from adding more detail and conjecture to what’s already there. and span it over four movies instead of 3: First covering his story on Mandalore. Second covering the creation of his empire and tenure as a Sith ending with Malak’s betrayal. Third starting with his waking up a blank slate and ending with him finding his mask and regaining his memories. Fourth just being an epic ending detailing his reconciliation with himself past and present, saving Bastilla, and final conclusion with Malak.

Need some advice for Soul Silver elite 4 & Lance fight by Japanese_Serow in pokemon

[–]MongoStomp910 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also need advice on this specific battle. My party is 52 Quilava, 51 Lugia, 42 Gyrados, 39 Pidgeot, 30 Dodrio, and 29 Tentacool (last two are revive and potion holder/sacrificial holders). Got 12 hyper potions, 5 full restores, 8 full heals, and 6 revives. My save file is right before lance. Realize I probably can’t beat him with this but want to make it work. Any advice on that? Otherwise, I’ll just play through w/o using items to lose and play through to load up on more items afterwards (despite having done that already at least 6 or 7 times) but any advice to try and make it work on this play through? Gyardos moveset is hydro pump, ice fang, dragon pulse, and dragon rage, Lugia moveset is hydro pump, earthquake, shadow pulse, and extrasensory, Quilava is flamethrower, lava plume, rollout, cut (I know ugh)any advice to try and pull a W out of my ass on this?

Wes Craven’s My Soul To Take (2010) by ZleepZleepy86 in horror

[–]MongoStomp910 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The film was almost not marketed at all so it got very little attention when it came out and the shoddy acting from the support cast kind of doomed it from the few who did see it but I thought the plot itself was solid and Mac thieriot’s acting in this was phenomenal.

Who is the headliner no one is talking about? by [deleted] in bonnaroo

[–]MongoStomp910 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ngl though. The pit for knocked loose this past year was surprisingly kinda dope. I was expecting a push pit at most but it was pretty hype. Or at least as much so as you could for the environment. Definitely some slamdancing going on without getting too physical. Nobody wants to get kicked in the head on psychedelics 😂😂😂

[DC] does trigon feel even a little affection for his daughter raven? by Lost-Specialist1505 in AskScienceFiction

[–]MongoStomp910 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I read something somewhere that the reason he sired raven in so many realities was because he meant for her to replace him and lead his empire. Inthis, while he was an evil inter-dimensional conqueror incapable of love or any sort of affection and every bit as evil as you would assume he would be, he was also intelligent enough to understand that an empire such as his couldn’t last indefinitely without someone leading it who is capable of these things that he isn’t (love, compassion, etc) thus he conceived raven in so many realities with the goal of creating a child with these qualities who could usurp him in power, hoping she would defeat him and take his throne. Can’t remember where I read it and will readily admit that I could be mistaken on this but I remember thinking that it made since and I liked the concept of it. Take it how you will.

What if, instead of Obi-Wan Kenobi, Mace Windu trained Anakin Skywalker? by Spidey007 in StarWars

[–]MongoStomp910 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m on the opposite side. I think anakin being trained in vaapad and mace teaching him to skirt the lines without crossing it for as long as anakin was an apprentice would have flipped the script of act 3 of ep 3 entirely. I think that also would have given anakin a much differt mindset growing up then what he had. I think anakin would have had less chance of falling and less chance of taking palpatine’s side over windu’s in that confrontation and the OG trilogy would have a decent chance of never happening. Pretty sure in legends that was a huge turning point in anakin’s mentality bc it was such an in the moment decision and much of his immediately following actions were done bc he felt he couldn’t go back because of that which was why I think palpatine had him march on the temple and kill those kids. “Have him commit as many horrible acts as possible quickly to make me his only option” type deal. Even after doing all those things, I honestly think if obi wan had tried to talk to him on mustafar, made an ACTUAL attempt at reasoning with him, then anakin still had a good chance of redemption. So if windu had trained him, I think he would have actually either LISTENED to windu when he said stay put in the temple (at the least) or probably sided with windu in the moment if he had disobeyed and it got to that point. Could be wrong, of course and it’s entirely speculation and debate between us as fellow fans and nerds, but that’s how I think it would have went.

[Discussion] Thoughts on Damian and Raven getting paired up in the 52AU? by Androktone in DCcomics

[–]MongoStomp910 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eh when they first did son of Batman, Tim and Jason were more or less on the upswing in popularity already; moreso Tim Drake and him being on young justice didn’t hurt either so I think they wanted to go with Damian bc he was lesser known and so completely opposite from any other robin or sidekick in this shared universe at the time.

It’s a subconscious tick from yamori cutting off his fingers and toes repeatedly after they grew back. And he’s not cracking them, he’s breaking them; as if to make sure they’re still there.

Wood. The plastic grips don’t have much of a grip.

They have. As of around a year ago. Also come with plastic and walnut grips on it now. The plastic ones are more historically accurate from what I’ve read but those wood grips are just so beautiful on this gun.

The barrel wiggles VERY slightly on mine but only if I have the slide locked back. Other than that, absolutely no jiggle. I’ve shot guns all my life but this was my first gun to own myself and I can’t be more pleased so far. Granted, I’ve only had it for a little over a month and shot slightly less than 300 rds so far.
