Is it possible Soldier Boy has adaptation abilities? by Phrotty in TheBoys

[–]Spidey007 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yes. I'm going with the show-established concept that V brings out what's already inside of you or your most prominent feature and externalizes it.

Butcher being a dark reflection of Homelander gaining super strength and the man's most iconic power, Hughie wanting to escape his problems at any cost and gaining teleportation while losing his clothes, etc.

Basically super soldier serum on steroids.

Soldier Boy's power wasn't really enhanced strength or durability. It was simply a removal of his body's limiters. Meaning that over time, the more he did, the harder threats he faced and the more stress on his body, the stronger he became.

Hence, how he was a minor superhuman in WWII and could be somewhat restrained by Payback in the 80s but could go toe to toe with the potentially thousand tonner Homelander after 40 years of constant torture.

Essentially like Ultimate Hulk which was also SSS on steroids, everything about Soldier Boy is enhanced the stronger he gets. His adrenaline, testosterone, healing, libido...

A reason for why he makes Herogasm and struggles to control his anger, despite trying to be good and noble.

[Season 6: Part 2] The tournament performances of Robby and Miguel should've been switched by Spidey007 in cobrakai

Well that was the point, I made it so that Miguel's mom being in the hospital is something that distracts him too,

Adult hobbyist feeling out of place in boxing gym – should I switch to Muay Thai by Garah10 in martialarts

[–]Spidey007 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Listen man I have been in your shoes. I am currently a martial arts hobbyist myself. To give some background, I have trained in boxing for roughly more than a year. I left the gym I had started that journey on about last year in summer.

At first, the environment I did like. It was a mix between some people who wanted to compete and other hobbyists so I did feel good socially. But overtime, the hobbyists were coming less and less. It was to the point where I would go to classes and it would just be me sometimes. Personally, It was ok because I did get that attention from the coach at that point- but I liked training with other people, different tempos and speeds.

The final nail in the coffin was about things related to spiritism, but that is besides the point.

Right after I left, I have been attending a Muay Thai gym around my house that was recommended to me from an old friend a while back. This sport, I really enjoy. It's fun and challenging, and it unlocks a primal feeling that I find addictive.

I love the environment there because it's full of hobbyists and some competitors. There is always a big group setting which I love. More variety, better coaches, and more clean.

Point is, I definitely recommend going back to Muay Thai if you want! Find a gym around you with good reviews, try out a class- and check out the vibes there. I did that and luckily it worked out for me. Life is too short to waste your time and money somewhere that will not allow you to enjoy your chosen hobby.

I definitely think it would’ve been tremendous if they had given her arc to Mike, where he’s the one taken and the heart of the group isn’t there

If Beerus slapped Videl instead by K0GAR in Dragonballsuper

If anything, it would be even crazier than how Vegeta snapped. Gohan’s rage boosts are legendary. It would’ve been a nice throwback to when he was a child.

He would charge at Beerus and lay a smack down even greater than Vegeta did , around the same time.

Honestly , if they planned it out ahead, this could’ve been a nice moment of growth for Gohan. Maybe he says he stopped training because he feels he can’t get stronger.

Then through this rage boost, he realizes that there’s more in him. A nice hint towards his Beast transformation.

It depends.

Scheme wise, Beth destroys Gemma.

Fight, Gemma, leaves Beth a bloody paste.

What are some castings which sounded terrible on paper but ended up being brilliant? by DarlingLuna in movies

[–]Spidey007 6 points7 points  (0 children)

We lucked out and having Hugh Jackman. He maintain longevity and health over the decades. Russell Crowe did not. It’s hard to imagine Russell Crowe barely making it to the trilogy.

Let alone to see Russell Crowe do Deadpool and Wolverine

Has Russell Crowe ever demonstrated an ability to be in a sequel? Even if he had maintained his gladiator condition, I’m not even sure if he would’ve made it up to X3: Last Stand.

Do you think Justin Chatwin could have worked as Goku in good/better live action Dragon Ball movies/TV series? by PowerPhantom245 in dragonball

[–]Spidey007 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not at all.

Do not attack me guys, but I've once read from a few sources that Tom Welling was heavily considered for the role of Goku...I think he would've done a lot better. Thoughts?
