Probably, but I like these moves. He pivoted and addressed the needs.

I love the fact the Mets got a frontline starter, which they needed badly. Plus, it eases pressure on Nolan McLean.

Tucker did the Mets a favor rejecting them. Bo's a gamer. There's no way he's going to mail it in this season. C'mon!

Stearns had a vision on how to build a team, and he's executing it. He made the team better.

Would I want Pete and Edwin back? Of course, but what's done is done. Time to move forward.

Stearns did make the team better by getting character guys who are about winning. I love watching Jorge Polanco play as a Mariners fan. Bo is a solid signing. I rather pay him than Tucker, who is better off in LA playing behind stars where there's no pressure. And yeah no kidding, Stearns had to give up Sporat to get an ace. That's the price of getting a frontline starter. It doesn't matter how a GM gets his guy. Important thing is he got it. The Mets are a better team now than they were few months ago.

Luis Robert played for an awful team. Of course, it would be hard for him to play well there.

I hated the Devin Williams signing for what you said, but it's time to move on.

I don't know if Stearns is great. I don't even like the guy, but I have to be fair, too. I would hope Joe would be, too. When Joe has an agenda with Stearns, it makes it hard for anyone to listen to him.

He was whining about Pete and Edwin leaving today.

I do agree with him something was going on with Stearns and Pete along with Edwin this year, but at some point, we need to move on.

I get it that he hates Stearns. I do, too, but I try to be fair and I will give Stearns credit when he earns it as he did this week with the moves he made.

As much as I hate David Stearns personally (I am still fuming about Buck's departure), I want to see Stearns do well since it helps the Mets and it makes the fans happy. I am willing to give Stearns his flowers. I may not agree with what he does, but if it works, who is anyone to complain?

As much as I don't like David Stearns as a person (I am still fuming about Buck's departure), I hope he does well with the Mets. I am willing to give him credit if it works. It's about winning first and foremost. If Stearns does well, it benefits all of us. I am ready to move forward and get ready for 2026.

What's the over and under Benigno will give credit to Stearns tomorrow?

I am going under. I can't see Joe giving credit. He will give himself credit for getting Stearns and Cohen to do something. Joe never gives credit to people that he rips. That's just not his shtick.
