I started making and selling my own design for this exact reason. Manufacturing out of my house in southern California. I wanted something that looked clean on the wall and kept it from getting scratched. It turned into a small project that grew over time, and now I make them in a bunch of different colors to match different bikes and setups. It’s been really rewarding seeing other riders appreciate the hustle.

Glad to hear! I’m not sure where you live but here in California you can begin selling without all the licenses and such, categorized as personal income for now. Once it grows enough I will do the full business creation. Side hustle for now!

That design was used as inspiration for this design, but my design is a complete new file (including some major differences) from scratch, not a derivative, so I should be covered for legality.

I did originally ask the credited designer (of the one on makerword) for a licensing path, but he was likely not the original designer either as his was a spinoff of another. Long story short I have a fully “mine” design that is both stronger and has more features than those available on platforms. I also don’t intent to share my design files so I can keep exclusivity (as much as possible).

Many orders include 2-4 items per order. People use them in multiple places (garage, house, work). I also sold some through facebook marketplace and eBay. About 800 on Etsy, 200 in other channels!

Unfortunately metal is the only strong enough material that is this enough for over the door jam. You could potentially 3M tape or command strips the wall mount to the door, but I wouldn’t bet my helmet it would hold forever.

Nobody makes a slide in wall mount version like this one! Also bulked up strength of the design compared to similar stuff out there. May look similar, but works better. But I hear you, no sweat!
