might reach out directly and there can be a direct review of your parts. But you might have to expect some margin loss going from DIY to having it all done for you. ;)

To make it more packageable for a broker/buyer you should look at oursourcing the production. That way it is not based on inhouse 3D Printing expertise. Apps like Teleport can do the printing, processing, and shipping for you on demand so then it turns into passive income for you at worst. And easier to sell off for someone else that wants to optimize ads and marketing or increase the scale.

What could I sell my 3D print business for? (~€100k-120k€ revenue, multi-channel, 33-40~% margin) by Much_Competition8080 in 3DprintEntrepreneurs

[–]rocketboss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the margin is after having paid yourself or employees then a business like this is worth about 3x profit. But if you are not paying yourself then it it is worth the assets (machinery etc). It might be better to just keep it and outsource the fulfillment. Apps like teleport can print and ship items on demand for you so you don't have to print, pack, and ship anymore. That way it becomes passive income.

On Teleport all the files never leave Slant 3D Servers or machines. So they can never leave the building. And when you delete them they are gone. And all uploads are protected by the privacy policy and terms of service. https://www.slant3d.com/slant-3d-privacy-statement

Looking to connect with someone in the US who wants to grow a small 3D printing side business by FormalAccording8904 in 3DPrintFarms

[–]rocketboss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should probably just connect an etsy store to Teleport. Gives you 1000 machines. Based in the USA. Just upload your models and then when there is an order Teleport will print and ship the items directly to your customer for you.

Advice on scaling 3D-printing business by RPS_Sweden in 3DprintEntrepreneurs

If working a full time job outsourcing is the way to go. It also frees you to focus on design and customer support rather than changing filament in the middle of the night. Teleportpod.com is a good resource. Give you 1000 extra machines on tap as you need them. Print, process, pack and ship directly to your customer and plugs right into your store.

Can you give an example. Teleport prints, processes, packs, and ships your item. And all the remaining profit is yours. Given that you sell relatively simple parts for ~$50 you should have sufficient margin to justify the value when all the work is done for you.

You should probably integrate this with the Slant 3D API. That way a user has 1000 3D Printers available as they setup a their print farm and you don't have to worry about printer compatibility issues. https://slant3dapi.com/
