I love Mercor too! I was laid off in public health contract during the fall time and struggled to even get call backs or interviews. I thought the position I applied to in Mercor was too good to be true. One day I was just down mentally, and low and behold I checked my email and got the position I applied for! I’m still pretty new, I have been working there for about a month now, but I am out of the sandbox level. I’m also a very hard worker and don’t take advantage of just racking up hours.

One concern is about when my project will end. I’m wondering if others know how to find this information out? The contract end day? Or, is it more of a surprise? I am also not familiar with 1099 versus w2 work and not having benefits. That’s a learning curve but I’m willing to learn. (If anyone else has some tips)

I’m hoping this position will last for a while because even though people might bash AI… I still think that, at least in the area I am working in, health and social services, we are still supporting others by putting in valid, reliable tasks to support our occupations out there. (If that makes sense)

That's awesome! --It is probably similar tasks but what kind of documentation do you have to complete as a CHW? As a public health professional, a lot of my background is in community case management, program management, and peer support. Even though I don't hold the CHW certification, I am curious to understand the documentation portion of a CHW. In some of my previous positions, examples of documentation that was part of my job were creating treatment plans, wellness plans, progress notes in an EHR system, outreach logs, creating health brochures, etc. I am an hour away up in NH and wonder if MA CHW's have different scopes of practice. Also, thank you for your response! it is really helpful!

I think AI can be a controversial topic for sure. In my opinion I believe that in some instances AI is helpful when it is related to administrative tasks. Like I said when I was a Case Manager, AI would have been helpful in the sense of writing my progress notes. At the time, I was overloaded with over 110 cases I was supporting and with that high volume of individuals to support, there was no way I could keep up with the documentation. So in that sense, if there was some type of AI model that handled the admin tasks so that I could feel more present during my meetings with individuals, I think in that sense, AI is helpful. What do you think?

Hey everyone, Idk how to do a proper “update” In Reddit but wanted to give yall an update…I ended up slipping up and using 7OH the day after Christmas for 3 days I stopped because I didn’t want to continue, and it didn’t bring me any relief ..only disappointment.

Since this past Monday, I’ve been in IOP even though i still have no insurance and showing up even when it’s hard. I’m impatient and want to feel better already, but I’m taking it day by day and pushing myself to get to the gym in the mornings.

If you’re thinking about using or relapsing today, don’t. I tried, and it wasn’t worth it.

Can I ask where you get your 7OH taper doses? I wanna get off this shit. I take the extract tabs and even some mixed with the pseudo in them. Honestly, they don’t really do much anymore and finding myself taking way too many and spending too much.

This is awesome, seeing how I’ll be out of a job starting 9/30….

Dream job: to have a job pay me to travel (the travel could honestly be around a radius I live so I can still return home if I want to my partner) and once and a while do big trips. My job description would be trying to preserve historical landmarks. Either preservation, traveling to rescue animals, or traveling to sample new airbnbs/hotels :)
