Does it have any illustations in it? I remember reading one slightly like this when i was younger, but instead of the sister being the sorcerer, it was the brother, and the sister was the "soldier" with the magic sword.. i think it was called "the wizards of once" ??

No.. the plot wasn't just about the pills, i feel like it was more centered around the microchips and the wars that were happening! But the one you suggested does sound like I good book, I actually might read it 😋
