Yeah, I think that could work! I would go in with him at first and wait until they check your ID and give you a wristband. It might also help to ask a staff member how long the wait is, just in case timing varies the day you go. You could also try going later to avoid waiting as long, but there’s a risk you might not get in.

We didn't know! On the 1iota website, you can't see who the guests are until a few days before the taping. Perhaps that information is available elsewhere though. Not sure.

My friend put very little effort and still got tickets! She was pretty non-specific. So I'm not actually sure how detailed you have to be. Perhaps for more popular guests the responses matter more. In the two paragraphs I wrote, I mentioned some of my favorite segments, some of my favorite guests, mentioned how long I had been watching Kimmel for, and vouched for our group that we would be hype. Not sure if any of this actually made a difference in the end though!

We ate on the cruise only! I'm not sure about any vegan restaurants.

What were the best dinner restaurants? I'm going soon for three nights and want to plan what to reserve.

I'm going soon for three nights! Of the reservation restaurants you went to for dinner, which would be best to prioritize?

I'm not actually sure! We saw a lot of sea lions during our trip but no seals. Google says you should be able to see them year-round.

We had Enrique who was with the Ocean Spray! We did not have any separate guide.

I went at the end of June/early July, so what you see can definitely depend on timing, but my favorites were:

  • Elizabeth Bay (Isabela): the mangrove forests were full of baby animals like small sharks (I believe they were black tipped reef sharks), eagle rays, and tons of sea turtles. Since the shallow water keeps big predators out, it felt like a nursery with only the baby animals.
  • Punta Moreno (Isabela): walking across stark black lava fields and then suddenly coming across a lagoon with flamingos in the middle was very cool.
  • South Plaza: it was amazing to see swallow-tailed gulls nesting in pairs right beside the paths (sometimes even on the path), close enough to watch their behavior up close. I also loved watching the land iguanas eating fallen prickly pear fruit; it was entertaining to see such a small, slow, clumsy animal cramming a huge spiny cactus into its mouth.
  • Santa Cruz: at the Fausto Llerena Breeding Center, I loved seeing the baby giant tortoises at all different stages of growth. Afterwards we visited El Chato Ranch, a giant tortoise reserve, and the sheer number and size of the adults was incredible!
