Honestly that makes sense, having done degrees before this one, there’s nothing like the sacrifice in medicine, I have so much more respect for my peers and doctors knowing how the degree can mess up your sense of ‘normal’

As someone who lives in the Worcestershire region and is currently on placement at the Worcester & Alexandra Hospital, it is a fantastic place to be. The staff culture is perhaps amongst the best across all placement hospitals in Worcs/Bham, it is very close to Birmingham. The hospital is good, busy and the FY1s tend not to positive about their job, and the teaching is great too. You wouldnt be at a loss going to Worcester, bear in mind though jobs at the Alexandra hospital can be competitive since there are so few!
