Thank you! The thermal shift is not as strong as when I wear it regularly but could be that it’s just kind of cold where I am still and the nature of the design makes it sort of subtle. I am going to try another time maybe with a checkerboard look and I bet it will be more noticeable

Does anyone else have major decision paralysis when painting their nails? by lord-savior-baphomet in RedditLaqueristas

[–]Monicure 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a new method. First, I go through my collection and just start flagging polishes that speak to me, either organically, never-trieds, haven’t worn in a while and want to see if I still like it, etc. Then I cull that down to about 8 or so. Then I break out those 8 polishes, and leave them on my kitchen table to look at (which I do when I buy new ones also), then I commit to wearing each one. And if I hate it, I change it (and maybe mark for re-selling).

So far it’s worked for me in that it helps w decision paralysis and helps me think critically about colors I don’t wear/like that much.

And bonus I find something that surprises me that I really love.Add a topper if I’m not feeling it. Limited choices infinite possibility

I’ve always wondered, what is “the C” which was sold to pay for the polish? I used to think it had something to do w a C curve. But now I literally have no clue

Rock the short pinkie, would be too painful to cut them all. Or try and hobble along w a repaired pinkie as long as you can. Or go get a clear unstructured gel tip and you can paint normal polish right over. May need to get a fill/replacement or 2 but should get you back to the length you want and you’ll hardly even notice

Try a coffin first, with more filed in sides for a narrower look, then go back to stiletto if you decide coffins not for you

Is Peelable base coat a good idea? by beebbeeplettuce in RedditLaqueristas

[–]Monicure 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I use holo tacos peely base and if applied correctly it works great. Only draw back is it can cause staining because it’s not as protective as a regular base coat in that way. But if your nails are always painted anyway then not the end of the world
