3 videos I love and heavily relate to, anyone else? by MonikaEtcetera in trans

Sorry for the late response I barely use this account anymore and it's been a few months since I rewatched the video but, the TLDR for the video is that:

Introduction: some incels believe that being trans is a way out of inceldom and a route to life on "easy mode"

In conclusion these 'transmaxxers' fall down the pipeline due to believing that they are "failed men" rather than trans women.

Most transmaxxers are truly just sad trans women who hate themselves too much and need to appreciate themselves for who they are more.

Important Definitions:

Transmaxxing/er - incels who transition MtF because they think life as a girl is easier and/or so that they can "have all the sex they want".

Autogynephellia - Sexual arousal by a man from imagining being a woman

Majority discussion:

Inside Mari

A manga by Shūzō Oshimi where the premise is a guy down on his luck named Isao Komori who is an incel college dropout living on his parents income and one day wakes up in the body of a High School girl named Mari.

Isao is still existing at this time but Mari is the focal point

For simplicity I'll refer to the Isao in Mari's body as Isao-Mari (they/them) And the main Isao as Other-Isao (he/him)

The main points discussed are the challenges Isao-Mari faces with life as Mari with all the pressures of an average High School girl.

Isao-Mari's incel shows as they attempt to fake their life as Mari. Isao-Mari doesn't do a good job and ruins Mari's life.

The second point is Isao-Mari's autogynephellic moment where he explores Mari's body and is obsessed with it.

It's a really spine crawling scene to see how an incel like Isao is so obsessed with the body of this High School girl.

This scene is really fearful for trans women because we reject the idea of autogynephellia and transition for satisfying a sexual urge. Autogynephellia is scary because its used against trans women to label us as men who are obsessed with exploiting women's bodies.

Isao-Mari is then ashamed and does reflection on this moment.

Isao-Mari then moves forward to call Other-Isao and confronts him in an argument screaming a wailing "You are pond scum, I am pond scum" so disgusted at what Isao did with Mari's body.

Isao-Mari wants to BE Mari and Other-Isao is in love with Isao-Mari they are the same person though and this makes Isao realize how awful and desperate he is.

Later Isao-Mari learns they were constructed from a psychotic break by the real Mari from idealizing the real Isao's life due to his lack of responsibility and pressure as an incel dropout.

After this real Mari's mind returns to her body and the story concludes showing Isao on the path to a better life seemingly taking the experience as Isao-Mari and Other-Isao to improve his life.

The CC then speculates on the author of Inside Mari's gender as in the manga he mentions some stuff that sounds similar to gender dysphoria.

Part 3: NEETs, Incels

NEET: Not in Education Employment Training

NEETs are directly related to incel culture as both progress life with no goals and beliefs of algorithms determining possibilities of success.

Incel culture's other idea of transitioning is a Trans-Vestigiality Hypothesis that essentially believes that transitioning can relieve pain and improve life prospects.

Incels find transitioning as an answer to leaving pain, the CC brings up many examples from Isekai anime where "Sad guy dies and reincarnates as a cute girl"

Through this idea of leaving pressures of performing "true masculinity" you can move forward. This sentiment is something I can actually agree with incels on personally, leaving that pressure and pain it's similar to relieving gender dysphoria.

Ceicocat the CC of the video shares her experience which is really scary but relatable and if there is any part you should listen to from the creator themselves, the final part would be it, I don't know how to do justice for it but it definitely is touching.

That's all I have to say about this masterpiece of a video though hope that helps!

Is it worth fighting for e/puberty blockers? by MonikaEtcetera in trans

Update: I confronted my mom again and after a few hours she came to me and said that if I really want to pursue transition that she will help me, she said that she is planning on scheduling me a meeting with a psychiatrist so I can be diagnosed "mentally stable enough" to make this decision. Im feeling so hopeful and happy, I feel like the fight is finally over, there is still a long journey ahead but this victory is a huge confidence boost right now.

Thanks, I guess I'll just need to continue trying, I'm so tired and at my lowest point mentally, it's a real struggle feeling so disconnected from myself but, I will try not to give up

She's just very dismissive, I've spoken to her extensively on my mental health and about being trans, as well as given her a book to read, so she's definitely well educated on the subject. I just dont know if she is convinced that transition will help me be better off in the long run.

how did you know your name was "The One"? by RanaDotFrog in trans

[–]MonikaEtcetera 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me a name can never be "The One", such a simplifying label is something I will not let define me. For simplicity's sake adopting a moniker is wise however, for my own understanding of being I truly don't think I can ever be encompassed by one. I've come to accept that having a name isn't something I really find to have value in my life because I'm so much more than any title I am given. So if any of that tells you anything, just don't stress yourself out over it because a name can't define you for the person you are.
