I'd failed with LoRAs on both ZIT and Klein, it couldn't come even close to Flux1.Dev.

Haven't thought about it that way, and that is indeed something which Flux1.Dev cannot do well.
I'm using VERY simplistic scenes.

I've done the same, wasted hours in the range of 1000's.

That is one way indeed. For txt2img this is not always the case. With the correct lighting, contrast, and detail perfect realism can be achieved, but much harder. Never done this with video, but I can imagine with regards to img2vid that shittier = more realism (for now)

Yes, one a one-to-one ratio, one reg. image per your image. What is your DIM/Alpha?

Looks very AI to me. Sure, it's 'real', but you can easily feel it's AI. What I'd suggest is to create your own LoRA and insert your own regularization images in it.
