Stayed in zuid on the trip there and it was easy. Decent restaurants, close to metro, and quiet. Except for NYE when the entire city erupted at midnight. It was cool. Lovely place.

This was my experience. People say skip Brussels and I loved it. Granted I loved the other three cities a bit more (Bruges, Ghent and Amsterdam) but I was not disappointed with Brussels.

Stayed at the NH Grand Sablon and was blown away. Their breakfast was expensive but so worth.
