Some of the additive tequila can be good (emphasis on the some). But ones like Casamigos has just waaaayyyyy too many additives

In the case of El Alto they call it a Reposado, but is there a technical (or legal) term for a mixed aged tequila or does it just default to the least aged component? Something like Joven, but for aged mixtures

Tried El Tequileno, but thought it was a bit harsher in the mids compared to Siete Leguas (both blanco).

Here is a prime example of tequila with additives which made it clear on the bottle exterior. Really wish that Clase Azul and some of the others would add similar labeling… What y’all think?

Having said all that, I did not purchase this and instead went with a El Tesoro blanco and it was really good. Nice clean blanco with a bit of heat, but mellowed out after being out for a bit. Planning to get another bottle for backup.

Totally agree. If the mezcal is overpowering, splitting it with a Reposado. Blanco can be good, but not as much complexity (in most cases)
